Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has gotten a conviction on a woman who committed 26 crimes involving voter fraud that never happens according to Democrats and their willing lapdogs in the media. Monica Mendez was convicted on three counts of illegal voting. She was also found guilty of eight counts of election fraud, seven counts of assisting a voter to submit a ballot by mail, and eight counts of unlawful possession of a mail ballot.
Mendez ran a ballot harvesting operation for the benefit of a subsidized housing corporation in order to influence the outcome of a utility board election. District Judge Eli Garza sentenced Mendez to five years of deferred adjudication probation. At first, you might be saying to yourself that Mendez, only got probation for her crimes, but it is actually much worse than that.
When you get probation, the conviction stays on your record forever, but with deferred adjudication probation, after you successfully complete your probation, the conviction comes off your record completely. You then have no criminal record. For 26 crimes. Why bother even prosecuting someone if it has no effect on them whatsoever?

This comes after he shared information about a woman being arrested for multiple counts of election fraud in a 2018 local election. was convicted on seven counts of illegal voting, eight counts of unlawfully assisting a voter, eight counts of unlawful possession of ballots and eight counts of election fraud.

Monica Mendez of Port Lavaca pleaded guilty to 26 felony counts of voter fraud, including three counts of illegal voting, eight counts of election fraud, seven counts of assisting a voter to submit a ballot by mail, and eight counts of unlawful possession of a mail ballot. Mendez ran a vote-harvesting operation on behalf of a subsidized housing corporation in order to influence the outcome of a utility board election.
After Mendez entered a guilty plea on all 26 counts and confirmed in court that all counts could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, District Judge Eli Garza sentenced Mendez to five years’ deferred adjudication probation.
The case was investigated and prosecuted by Attorney General Paxton’s Election Integrity team in cooperation with the Victoria County District Attorney’s Office.
