Rich Welsh| CNN executives have finally shaken all the rocks out of their heads and have announced the network is trashing the host of the most misnamed show in cable news, “Reliable Sources,” host and Brian Stelter. His final show will air on Sunday.
“CNN will end its ‘Reliable Sources’ program on Sunday, August 21st. As a result Brian Stelter will leave the company. We appreciate his contributions to the network and wish him well as he embarks on new endeavors,” a CNN spokesperson said in a statement.
Stelter, between sobbing, no doubt, told NPR in a statement that he was grateful for his time at the fake news network and his show’s examination of the “media, truth and the stories that shape our world.” This from a man who lied to his audience every day for over two-and-a-half years by reporting that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.
Stelter’s canning is the result of CNN Ceo Chris Licht who has said he was putting an emphasis on “news” [imagine that] as opposed to leftist opinion programming that CNN has become known for when Jeff Zucker ran the network and watched its rating spiral downward because he made the network 24/7 trashing Donald Trump.
Stelter became known as a leftist pundit who spent most of his time on the air attacking conservative news media, specifically Fox News and specifically Tucker Carlson.
Once Trump was out of the White House, Reliable Sources had trouble getting viewers to tune on. This month, Stelter’s show was down a whopping 41 percent among the sought after demographic of adults age 25-54 when compared to the same month last year. Stelter lost 34 percent among the key demo and 26 percent of its 2021 audience. YIKES!
Thanks to Stelter’s incompetence, the Reliable Sources staff was laid off as well.
On a personal note, I was blocked by Brian Stelter on Twitter. Every day for over a year, I would tweet to Stelter that he lied to his audience over Russian collusion and asked would he ever apologize. I never got a response from him. One day, I saw that he sent out a tweet promoting his weekend show, and I responded by saying, “The most unreliable source of news on cable is Reliable Sources with Brian Stelter.” He instantly blocked me. I wrote it on my profile as a badge of honor.
I guess I have to change my profile now.
Amy Entelis, CNN Executive Vice President, described Stelter as an “impeccable broadcaster” on his way out the door.
“Stelter came to CNN from the New York Times as the nation’s top media reporter. He departs CNN an impeccable broadcaster. We are proud of what Brian and his team accomplished over the years, and we’re confident their impact and influence will long outlive the show,” Entelis said in a statement. Even on Stelter’s way out, management engages in fake news.
Stelter is not responding to calls for comments from any conservative media. He’s either drunk and a bar, at home eating ice cream straight out of the tub, or painting his toenails Democrat blue.
I have waited five years to write this story, and it was as delicious as I always knew it would be. Brian Stelter was a liar and a boot-licking sycophant of the radical Democratic Party. He lied for years about Trump-Russia collusion. He suppressed the Hunter Biden’s laptop story to interfere in the 2020 election. He referred to massive amounts of evidence of 2020 election theft as the Donald Trump’s “Big Lie,” and covered for Dr. Fauci and the CDC over harm that COVID vaccines were causing thousands of Americans. He brought Michael Avenatti on the show and told him he took him seriously as a presidential candidate to beat Trump. Avenatti was sentenced to 48 months in prison for Identity Theft and Defrauding a Former Client. Stelter started a campaign to get Fox News anchors and hosts fired and/or boycotted, accusing them of spreading misinformation when nearly everything that ever came out of his mouth was a lie. He never apologized for any of it. He misled his audience every time he was on the air because he was an ideologue and not a journalist.
Stelter had to have known this was coming. His numbers were terrible, and he participated in actions that harmed the network’s reputation. Every episode of Reliable Sources was a painful violation of common sense, and I feel like there should be compensation for it.
Next I hope to go is Don Lemon, another lying ideologue who has no business being on network cable news.
