Several individuals and groups have issued FOIA requests to the FBI about Ray Epps, but the agency refuses to do so. It’s not hard to figure out why when you look at his actions from January 5th to the 6th. On the fifth, Epps defended ISIS and then told people they needed to enter the Capitol the next day.
He defended antifa while standing next to antifa leader, John Sullivan, who did enter the Capitol the next day, but was also not facing trial or hanging out in the DC gulag. Imagine that. Does anyone else find this to be curious? Both men incited a riot, but neither one was jailed. Trump told the protesters to march peacefully and they call that incitement to riot, but Epps telling people to storm the Capitol isn’t. Something smells fishy about this.

Epps was also one of the first protesters to charge past the barricades in Washington DC.

Rep. Massie: As far as we can determine, the individual who was saying he’ll probably go to jail, he’ll probably be arrested, but they need to go into the Capitol the next day, is then directing people into the Capitol the next day, is then the next day directing people to the Capitol. And as far as we can find. You said this is one of the most sweeping in history. Have you seen that video, or those frames from that video?
AG Garland: So as I said at the outset, one of the norms of the Justice Department is to not comment on pending investigations, and particularly not to comment on particular scenes or particular individuals.
Rep. Massie: I was hoping today to give you an opportunity to put to rest the concerns that people have that there were federal agents or assets of the federal government present on January 5 and January 6. Can you tell us, without talking about particular incidents or particular videos, how many agents or assets of the federal government were present on January 6, whether they agitated to go into the Capitol, and if any of them did?
AG Garland: So I’m not going to violate this norm of, uh, of, of, of, the rule of law.

On January 11, 2022 Senator Ted Cruz confronted FBI National Security Branch Executive Assistant Director Jill Sanborn over the law enforcement agency’s involvement on January 6th in a tense exchange during Tuesday’s Senate Hearings.
Cruz asked the FBI director several straightforward questions like ‘how many FBI agents or informants actively participated in Jan 6th? And is notorious 1/6 catalyst ‘Ray Epps a fed?’
But Cruz was unable to get any real answers from Sanborn during her sworn testimony; the only thing she was able to respond with to the majority of his questions was ‘I can’t answer that.’
