Over thirty Democratic Senators have written to Joe Biden, urging him to ignore the Supreme Court and allow abortions in every state in the Union. That would effectively attempt to overthrow the Supreme Court and create a constitutional crisis. The constitution creates three branches of government, each of which is equal and has specified duties.
The Legislative branch writes the laws of the country, but only in the areas granted to the federal government, everything else is granted to the individual states. The Judicial Branch interprets those laws and rules on whether they are constitutional. The Executive branch enforces the laws which are deemed constitutional. We are not a monarchy and the president, or in this case, the resident does not have the power to make laws. But, that is what would happen if Biden did what the Democratic Senators want him to do.
And should that happen, Biden then could change every law his handlers allow him to. Like creeping on young girls? And how would the case be settled? Here is where a constitutional crisis would occur. If their ruling on Roe v Wade is struck down by presidential fiat, it could be argued that they cannot hear the case because of a conflict of interest. That would not be the case, but it would be the argument the Democrats would use.
The Democrats are getting desperate because they know they only have 7 months to act. The only legitimate way they have of keeping baby murder legal is to pass a law enshrining the legal right into US law. However, the filibuster would prevent that because they would never get 60 votes in the Senate and as of next year, they will no longer have a majority in the House.
Let’s go one step further. If Biden did try to overrule the Supreme Court, he will have violated the constitution and committed a felony. The House would impeach him for sure, but will the Democrats take a chance and block impeachment in the Senate? Would they even want to try? They might decide the 25th Amendment would be a better way to go and we all know how the Democrats can pressure people into going along with them. Biden would become their sacrificial lamb, which is a terrible thing to do to a mentally deficient person.
“This is dangerous and horrifying and it will endanger women’s lives. We cannot stand idly by as Republicans rip away women’s rights. And we know they will not stop with this decision—they are already eyeing a national abortion ban,” they continued.
The Democrats concluded, “now is the time for bold action to protect the right to an abortion. You have the power to fight back and lead a national response to this devastating decision, so we call on you to take every step available to your Administration, across federal agencies, to help women access abortions and other reproductive health care, and to protect those who will face the harshest burdens from this devastating and extreme decision.”
