The misinformation news media keeps telling us that the Democrats are not coming for law-abiding gun owner’s guns. They’re offended when gun owners even say it. Well, how are they going to spin this?
President Joe Biden has promised that he is going to ban “assault weapons” if the Democrats are able to hold on to a majority in the House and keep the Senate after the midterm elections in November.
The simple truth is that the federal government cannot create a gun control bill. They don’t have the authority to do it. I don’t care what leftist websites and pompous media pundits on left-wing cable news programs say about it. The federal government cannot ban semi-automatic weapons and turn us into a real third world country overnight. When the criminals have all the guns, a country becomes third world right quick. Just look at other countries where it’s happened in our lifetime. Venezuela comes to mind.

It’s not only that the Second Amendment says literally that the federal government can’t even hold a conversation about it, but the 10th amendment says that anything that is not already given as a power to the federal government belongs to the states. You can read article one Section 8 of the Constitution to go over the 18 enumerated powers for the federal government. You can even read it by holding it up to the light upside down and pour lemon juice on it and you still won’t read anywhere there that the federal government has the authority to ban any weapons.
On Thursday, Joe Biden read from a teleprompter at a DNC rally at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Maryland where he underscored the significance of the upcoming midterm elections that are less than 75 days from now.
“Your right to choose is on the ballot this year,” he told the crowd.
That’s a complete lie. Like the gun ban attempts, the federal government has zero authority over abortion. The Democrats keep talking about the need to codify Roe v Wade when the US Supreme Court just reminded the world that the federal government has no authority over abortion. The 1973 court lied when it said the federal government does.
“The Social Security you paid for from the time you had a job is on the ballot. The safety of your kids from gun violence is on the ballot, and it’s not hyperbole, the very survival of our planet is on the ballot.” He would have called it an existential threat, but his handlers were probably afraid he’d never be able to spit it out. #smh
The Democrats are the only party that voted to increase taxes on social security recipients, so it’s another lie to tell seniors that it is the Republicans who want to take away social security.
He once again talked about the extreme MAGA philosophy, equating it to fascism and trying to make the distinction between traditional Republicans who wet themselves whenever challenged by the media to MAGA Republicans. The president said he doesn’t respect the MAGA Republicans, and I can say as a MAGA Republican, back at ya.
The Democrats are trying to lay the claim that MAGA Trump supporters are all violent insurrectionists when all they really care about is the government following the law, and being left alone by the strong arm of Democrats who want to suck the life’s blood out of them and let them earn an honest living without changing our society by forcing woke garbage down their throats.
Biden talked about mass shootings, many of which I blame Democrats and their stupid gun-free zones that do nothing more than act as a billboard for any nut with a gun who wants to shoot as many people that he can while knowing that there will be no responsible gun owner there to shoot back at him because of a sign out front that says it’s a gun-free zone.
Biden talked about the unconstitutional Safer Communities Act that was passed this summer.
“We took on the NRA (National Rifle Association). And we beat them,” he said. In reality, the NRA is a husk of what it once was. I didn’t see a single ad campaign against the bill. They were as absent as all the invisible people Joe likes to shake hands with when he’s done reading from the teleprompter.
“We just passed the first significant gun safety legislation in 30 years in this country. And I promise you, we’re not stopping there. I’m determined to ban assault weapons in this country. I did it once before and we will do it again.”
Actually, his assault weapons ban from 1994 was analyzed years later, and it was determined that it had little to no effect.
“We’re gonna do it for those families in Buffalo, Uvalde, Newtown, El Paso, Parkland, Charleston, Las Vegas, Orlando. I’ve been to almost every one of those places to meet with those parents. We all got to do it.”
What they could do that actually would help innocent people from being shot is to allow more law-abiding people to carry guns concealed. Criminals will have to wonder if their victims are armed. It sounds counterintuitive, but in most instances, where it’s ever been tried and advertised to criminals, gun violence goes down.
“Now’s the time to galvanise this movement because that’s our duty to the people of this nation.”
His promise Thursday night to grab your guns seems to be the official mantra of the Democratic Party’s goal. If they succeed, then the real tyranny of this lawless administration begins. God save us all.
