Syndicated with permission via Valiant News| Tom Pappert| Today the FBI affidavit behind the raid on 45th President Donald Trump’s home in Florida was released in a heavily redacted form following an order from the Jeffrey Epstein-affiliated judge who signed the warrant.
The document reveals that the Department of Justice is investigating Trump for improperly containing or transporting documents from his time in the White House to Mar-a-Lago and accuses him of potential “obstruction,” though it is not clear how.
While the first several pages of the affidavit are mostly unredacted, they generally contain information that is now publicly available. The actual evidence they claim to have against Trump is almost entirely redacted. 20 of the affidavit’s 36 pages are more than halfway redacted, and many are almost completely unreadable.
Some conservatives celebrated earlier this week when Judge Bruce Reinhart ordered the FBI to provide a redacted version of the document which he would then review pending release. Reinhart formerly represented close associates of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein including his pilots, scheduler, and “sex slave.”
It appears the affidavit likely to fuel anger from Trump’s base, as the former President has insisted the documents he kept at Mar-a-Lago were all declassified between October of 2020 and January of 2021.
“The government is conducting a criminal investigation concerning the improper removal and storage of classified documents in unauthorized spaces, as well as the unlawful concealment or removal of governmental records,” the affidavit opens, before the heavy redactions begin.
However, the affidavit suggests that the sensitive documents sought by the FBI were “intermingled with other records,” which may fuel speculation that the FBI is criminally investigating Trump over documents that were transported by mistake, or worse, that the documents were planted to place Trump in legal trouble and prevent him from running for office in the 2024 election.
