Syndicated with permission via Valiant News| Gabriel Keane| Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) introduced legislation this week that would ban abortions nationally after 15 weeks of pregnancy, angering Republican voters who see the move as a virtue signal that could help Democrats in the midterms.
“We’re gonna have an election in 2022. The inflation report today was, in my view, bad news for the American consumer,” Graham declared. “Inflation’s not getting better anytime soon. In fact it’s going to get worse. Crime is on the rise. We have a broken border. But having said all that, the abortion issue in America has always been part of our political discourse. It will continue to be.”
The abysmal approval ratings of the Joe Biden administration have led many GOP voters to believe that the Democrats could lose the House and Senate in 2022.
However, the reaction from Democrat and independent voters to the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade earlier this year has shown that abortion could be a galvanizing issue against Republicans, as polling data shows banning abortion is not a high priority for most Americans.
Additionally, many states have already implemented state abortion bans following the SCOTUS ruling, leading many voters to wonder why Graham is not choosing to focus on the numerous failures of the Biden regime.
Terrible idea.
I’m 100% pro life.
This decision on when life begins belongs to the states. Same for what constitutes a marriage. https://t.co/9hrPuhwFKm

Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
To paint the pic clearer – why before elections would you pour gas all over the abortion bonfire?
The timing couldn't be worse, or depending on your agenda, the timing couldn't be better.
Rs always seem to have these turncoats. Amazing to watch. 🤷♀️ https://t.co/AUMpxlO1no— Thumperella 5×5 (@17donttread76) September 13, 2022
This is stupid. The states are already working on completely banning abortion. @GOP keep your hands off of the abortion issue unless you plan on outlawing it completely. All you ever do is snag defeat from the jaws of victory https://t.co/C5uuQQJFio

Throwing gas on the fire in neck-and-neck Senate races. This is dumb af. And probably intentional. https://t.co/QSTRS0g3IW

At this point, two months out from an election the only logical conclusion is that these people are actively trying to lose.
I don’t know why, but they are.
How idiotic. https://t.co/kESxkPVTrp
