Syndicated with permission via Valiant News| Tom Pappert| Daytime television host-turned U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz drew headlines over the weekend when he attended to a woman who fainted during his campaign rally in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
A woman reportedly collapsed in the middle of one of Oz’s events on Saturday, and photos surfaced shortly after showing the doctor tending to the woman. Other reports indicate that Oz stayed with his supporter until emergency medical services could arrive.
One person said they witnessed Oz “hop the barrier” to give the woman aid after seeing her collapse.

Oz later reported that he learned her name, “Rita, ” and that she “is doing well” following the incident.
“Oz rushed in from backstage and stayed with her until the stretcher claimed,” local reporter Will McDuffe wrote on Twitter.

Polls continue to show Oz as the underdog compared to stroke victim Democrat John Fetterman, who also continues to dodge a debate with Oz because of his stroke.
Oz, meanwhile, faces the challenge of uniting Republicans behind him after a contentious primary and in the face of massive Democrat financial opposition. The seat is being vacated by stalwart establishment Republican Pat Toomey, and during the primary process Trump insisted that a moderate candidate like Oz would be necessary to win in a state like Pennsylvania.

Should Oz win against Fetterman, many will likely praise it as a political miracle, even with Fetterman’s questionable speaking abilities.
Some reports have claimed that Trump is furious Oz hasn’t polled better, and other reports describe Oz as running in opposition to his campaign, which sometimes stoops to sophomoric levels in its attempts to beat Fetterman’s Twitter game.
Fetterman, while offering a minuscule number of speaking engagements – adisastrous event with Joe Biden last month notwithstanding – has tasked his campaign with teaching volunteers how to “ratio” the stroke survivor’s enemies on Twitter.
