son forgets (again) // (Scott Johnson).
For 16 years, I have banged my head against a wall about Keith Ellison. He is not fit for public office. He is not fit for any public office that has responsibility for law enforcement. Minnesota Attorney General is one example of such a position. Unfortunately, that is his current position.
His 2018 run for the position prompted me to write “Can Keith Ellison become a lawman?” Ellison’s long-standing support for cop killers might shock local journalists. He has not been called on the matter or held to account for it.
Now Ellison is running for Minnesota Attorney General. Jim Schultz, the Republican challenger to Ellison, is running for it. Ellison has the advantage over friendly media. This is a classic example of a CBS Minnesota reporter/anchor Esme Murphy. You can understand why Ellison feels that he can say anything.
Ellison participated in Friday’s rally at the University of Minnesota with Cori Bush and Ilhan Omar. “Defend the police” is their calling card. However, Ellison said in debate with Schultz last evening that he doesn’t know anyone who believes we should defund police.
This episode reminds me of the column I wrote about Ellison’s 2014 memoir for Star Tribune: “Keith Ellison forgets.” FOX News covered this story. Will Minnesota media cover this story?
