Talks Jan. 6, Antifa Riots and Trump, and More on “The View” Appearance //

Protesters disrupted a Republican senator’s appearance on ABC’s “The View,” Monday.

Ted Cruz, R-Texas was discussing the economy in preparation for the 2022 midterm elections next year when protestors began shouting about climate change.

“Excuse me. Excuse me. Ladies. Ladies. We are sorry. Let us do our job. Let us do our job,” host Whoopi Goldberg said. “We listen to what you have to share, but you have to get on with your job.”

Sunny Hostin interviewed Cruz about the Republicans’ beliefs and party’s agenda after the protesters had stopped.

It’s very easy. Three words are all that I can think of: security, freedom, and jobs. Cruz stated that jobs are created when taxes are cut and regulations are reduced. Small businesses grow, which creates lots of jobs.

“The government plays important roles. Let’s be clear. The Trump administration, with Republican majorities in both the Houses, saw us have the lowest unemployment in 50-years, and the lowest African American unemployment ever,” the Texas senator said.

Cruz was interrupted by Hostin to mention the federal deficit. She said it was “the highest deficit in many years.”

“No, we’re at 31.1 trillion now… I stood up to my party several times, but poverty is going down when you’ve got it. We had the lowest African American unemployment and the lowest Hispanic employment. Cruz stated, “That’s a huge deal.”

“And this election is going to be a tidal surge. He said that Republicans are going in both houses to retake them. “And the greatest reason people at home are asking, ‘OK. Is my life better now than it was two year ago?’ I believe for the vast majority Americans, the answer to that question is no.”

After it became clear that more protesters were shouting into the audience, the audio of the show was quickly cut. The show ended with a commercial break.

Ana Navarro, host, then pressed Cruz about comments he made during the 2016 campaign trail. She also mentioned comments made by the former president about Cruz’s wife Heidi and his father, Trump claimed was part of former President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.

“I am married to a Cuban woman. I don’t know how to get over your wife being called ugly. I don’t know how you can get over the slander against your father, but you have clearly moved on,” Navarro stated. “Today, you sing a completely different tune. Tell us, were you lying then, or are you lying now?

Cruz made a joke about the question being “loaded”, before Cruz answered.

“What I would say is that in 2016, Donald Trump and me won a primary. I’ll tell ya. Heidi chuckled when he said it. Cruz said, “My father laughed.” “By the by, my dad didn’t just kill Kennedy. We buried Jimmy Hoffa in our backyard. It was stupid and we ran after each other.”

“And at the conclusion of the day, [Trump] was victorious. And I had to make a decision in November 2016. Cruz stated that Cruz had been elected president and that he was responsible for representing 30 million Texans. “I could have decided that my feelings are hurt. I’m going home to take the ball and not do my job. I would be willing to do that if I had to. I have a responsibility.

Cruz explained that he was at the time saying, “Listen, there is an opportunity to make this country better and I want to get my hands dirty and fight to actually fulfill our promises.”

Cruz and the hosts also had a heated discussion about the results of the 2020 presidential election and the Jan. 6th of January 2021, riot at U.S. Capitol

“Jan. “Jan.

“How can you accept the undemocratic act of trying to disenfranchise eighty million voters?” Griffin asked. Griffin asked if Griffin believed Joe Biden had won the election.

Cruz was on “The View” to promote his new book, ” Justice Corupted“. He said that he has a chapter about Jan. 6 as well as the “inside story” of what happened.

“Listen, I recognize that a lot of people who are here, who watch the show, may not be on my side of politics. Cruz said that’s okay. “I’m glad that we’re having conversations. I’m glad that we are actually talking to one another. America, there is so much hatred and screaming. If this country is to survive, we need to try to understand each others and listen to what they have to say.

Cruz stated, “So I would encourage, especially if your view of politics is not mine, to read the chapter on January 6.”

Griffin reacted to Cruz’s assertion, saying that she read it as someone who generally agreed with Texas senator for most his career.

Griffin asked, “How do you reconcile the constitutional convictions you have with what happened Jan. 6, when 60 court cases were dismissed?” “Was Biden legitimately reelected because half the party believes he was and it would be very persuasive for you to tell them the truth.”

Cruz responded that Biden is President today.

Many people in the media try to make the election fair and square and legitimate every time a Republican is on TV. But you know who you don’t want to do that to?

Hillary Clinton didn’t do it. She stood up and claimed that Trump stole the election.

Goldberg finally intervened, interrupting Cruz who pulled out a sheet paper to show examples of Democrats delaying election results in the past.

“Here’s the deal. We don’t like it when Republicans win but we don’t storm. “We don’t try and change…,” Goldberg stated before the audience applauded.

Cruz asked, “Did you miss an entire year in Antifa riots when cities across this nation were burning?”

Goldberg interrupted Cruz by saying, “I don’t know what Antifa riot means.”
