The World Series starts tomorrow so it’s a good idea to take a look at the all time MLB home run list. It lists not only the number of dingers, but also the total number at-bats each slugger had in order to accumulate their total. Mark McGwire has the highest home-run rate if you look at dingers per-at-bats. However, I believe that he (and Barry Bonds) should be discounted because they were heavily juiced. Babe Ruth still looks the most prodigious home-run hitter.
