ABC’s ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ targets SCOTUS over Roe v. Wade Decision and pushes pro-abortion propaganda

Grey’s Anatomy season 19 episode 3 titled “Let’s Talk About Sex” featured pro-abortion propaganda. The entire episode was filled with pro-abortion buzzwords, and even a teenage abortion scene.

This should not be surprising considering that Grey’s Anatomy’s writers have crammed the liberal agenda down to viewers for years. This has been well documented and documented by the Media Research Center.

The Supreme Court’s decision not to uphold Roe v. Wade was too compelling for the writers to ignore. Pro-abortion activists claim that women’s reproductive rights are being ‘under attack’.

Inadvertent pro-abortion activists like to ignore that the SCOTUS decision ultimately gave the authority to regulate and limit abortions back to the States. Why let facts get in the way a compelling story or narrative?

Keep in mind that the series is set in Seattle, Washington which happens to be an ‘abortion sanctuary’.

The episode’s opening features Dr. Bailey (Chandra Wilson), who is the former chief surgeon at the hospital. Roe v. Wade was what encouraged her to return after taking a break to spend time with her family.

Bailey says that her latest initiative is to create sex-ed videos for social media to help young people learn more about their bodies. “We now live in a nation where the only way you can guarantee you don’t have to get pregnant is to not get pregnant,” Bailey said.

Dr. Schmitt: Wow, blasphemy.

Dr. Bailey: I am Dr. Bailey. What are you waiting? Let’s go.

Mika Yasuda says: I’m so sorry. I thought I had met all of the attendees. I’m Mika Yasuda.

Dr. Bailey: You don’t have to apologize. I don’t work there.

Jo Wilson: Dr. Bailey was the chief surgeon until six months ago.

Dr. Bailey: I went to visit my family.

Mika Yasuda says that’s very nice.

Dr. Bailey: That was the case, and then the Supreme Court stripped women of their reproductive rights. Dr. Wilson has been helping with a sex education curriculum for teenagers. We now live in a country that doesn’t allow you to have an unwanted pregnancy. Statistics show that teens need a lot of help with this.

Jo Wilson: We are creating sex-education videos for social media.

Dr. Bailey: We want our virality to be viral, you know, like the cat that plays the piano. People, let’s get on with it!

Simone Griffith: We are surgical interns, Dr. Bailey. We have progress notes and nurses paging, and we are behind on discharge summaries. I don’t even have the time to check my phone.

Mika Yasuda: I’ve got like 600 unread texts.

Dr. Bailey: Nurses love me. You won’t be bothered by me today. In return for your cooperation, you will have the opportunity to work with another world-class surgeon.

Dr. Montgomery: [ Sighs ] Oh, don’t look so miserable. Today, you’re being paid to talk about sex. It’s fun to have sex, and I want you to act like it.

These are the typical scaremongering talking points used by the left to discuss abortion. Although there are obvious ways to avoid unwanted pregnancies (such as condoms and contraceptives), the writers pay very little attention.

The show writers also failed to mention that only 17 states have yet to ban or restrict abortion, while many blue states, such as California, have moved to expand abortion access.

Instead, the episode focused on fear-mongering about hypothetical pregnant teens who would harm themselves with ‘coat hanger abortions’ due to their inability to obtain legal abortions.

There is no mention of the hundreds and thousands of innocent lives that are lost every year in the United States due to abortion.

Dr. Montgomery: Torsions can be a rare complication in cysts. I used to warn my patients against imagining the worst case scenario. But now, after stripping Roe V. Wade, everything feels like it is the worst case scenario.

Dr. Bailey: I agree.

Dr. Montgomery: I feel constant anger inside. Yes, I have thought about going to one those places that you pay money to destroy things.

Dr. Bailey: Doesn’t help. I also have rage.

Jo Wilson: I moved from Texas to O.B. For joy. I wanted joy. And now, I’m going to watch teenage girls die from tying coat hangers inside their bodies. It’s almost like the 70’s, except there are septic units.

Dr. Bailey: A video should be made about how dangerous a coat hanger can be.

Dr. Montgomery: This is a great idea.

The plot turns darker when Lucia, a high school student, is given pills for a medical abortion. This is as doctors guide her through the process…without parental permission.

In some states, minors do not need parental consent to have an abortion.

Dr. Schmitt: Lucia? I’m Dr. Schmitt, Dr. Montgomery works in surgery.

Lucia: Have you seen my results?

Dr. Schmitt: It’s positive. You’re pregnant.

Lucia: [ Gasps!] We did it once.

Dr. Schmitt, Did you ever think you could get pregnant the first attempt?

Lucia: I’m not stupid. I just didn’t believe I would get pregnant the first attempt.

Dr. Schmitt, Do you think you might want to continue the pregnancy?

Lucia: No!

Dr. Schmitt: I’m sorry. I must ask.

Lucia: Lucia, I can’t have children. I’m a stupid high-schooler who hasn’t fed her fish since Tuesday. All I have left to do is add a pinch of flakes and I still haven’t done it. A child needs food every day, real food. I would be the mother who forgot to feed her baby and I would be arrested. Oh my God, I don’t want to be a senior year pregnant. Do you know how mean children can be?

Dr. Schmitt says: Yes.

Lucia: I fear that my parents might actually kill me. [ Sobs]

Dr. Schmitt: Hey. They don’t have the right to know what you want. Medical abortion is possible as long as the embryo is less than 10 weeks old. We will give you pills so you can manage it at your own home. It’s like a really bad period.

Lucia: Please, take me the pills. Can we please get this done?

Dr. Schmitt, I’ll get the ultrasound.

Lucia is finally given the medication that will end her unborn baby.

Dr. Schmitt: You’ll first need to take mifepristone. It only takes one pill. It will stop your pregnancy from growing. After 24 hours, you will be given misoprostol. It comes in four pills. For 30 minutes, place all four pills under the tongue. After 30 minutes, take out all four pills and then swallow the remaining pills with water.

Dr. Montgomery: You’ll feel cramping and bleeding a few hours after taking the misoprostol. It’s like you have a heavy period. The pain will stop once you have finished the pregnancy.

Lucia: How can I tell if there’s something wrong?

Dr. Montgomery: Although it is rare for complications to arise from a medical abortion, I would recommend calling me if you feel something is off.

Lucia: Will you be there?

Dr. Montgomery: Yes, I will still be there for the next few days. You can also call me at any time of the day or night.

Lucia: Lucia, can I take it now?

Dr. Schmitt says you can take it whenever and wherever you are ready.

It is amazing how quickly and casually the decision was made to end the pregnancy for a young woman in this situation. The high schooler didn’t get any encouragement from her doctors to inform her parents, or have a discussion about the options and support networks she would have as a young mom if she had chosen life.

A discussion was also absent about the possible long-term mental and physical health effects of abortion.
