Are you ready to share some propaganda about your abortion?
Elizabeth Banks, best known for her role in The Hunger Games, has recently appeared in a 1960s-set story about an abortion provider called “The Janes” that is being shown inside clinics for educational purposes.
After its premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, Call Jane was released on Friday. Banks played a woman who became pregnant and was subsequently a danger to her health.
Bank’s character was told by a board that they wouldn’t allow her to have an abortion because there was a possibility (a large chance) that both she, and the child would survive. The film depicted the board as a group rich, white elitists who helped push the narrative that abortion restrictions are oppressive for women. Banks’ character stumbles across the underground network for abortion providers and eventually becomes part of the operation.
The film portrays a caring, fun, and loving environment for women who are seeking abortions. If the film is to be shown in abortion clinics, the filmmakers want women see joy, laughter and community among women who perform or assist with abortions.
It’s good news for the abortion industry. Call Jane might help a pregnant woman decide whether or not to have an abortion. Perhaps she wouldn’t do it if she was watching another movie, maybe about a loving family, or about the gift that is a child.
But that’s exactly what the left wants. They want abortion to be legalized and encouraged.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The screenings will serve two purposes: to increase awareness about direct abortion care services and to thank clinic staff and volunteers as the demand has increased in recent months following the overturning Roe v. Wade.”
The filmmakers are trying to promote the idea that abortion shouldn’t be something women should be afraid of. It aims to “normalize” abortion.
The truth is that abortions should be feared by everyone. This procedure is not humane for either the mother or the child and is a grave sin. Abortions are to be avoided because of their completely evil nature.
This film is another leftist attempt at painting abortion as gospel. It’s also going to premiere in clinics that offer such vile procedures.
