Between his hits Tuesday on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network (see here, here and here), Media Research Center President Brent Bozell joined Eric Bolling, Newsmax host, to discuss the liberal media’s inexorable hostility to conservatives (regardless if they hold the levers to power) and how their obsessions with January 6 (and smearing prolifers) have become their calling card.
Bolling asked Bozell which Republicans were the top targets of the liberal media. Bozell pointed out that NewsBusters had found coverage against Senate and House GOP candidates was approximately 90 percent negative (88%) when the GOP controlled Congress and the White House.
Bozell acknowledged that one could argue that it was due to their power and the old idea of emphasizing negative information. If the media were more consistent, they would be doing the same for Democrats in 2022 as with the GOP in 2018.
Bozell teased a forthcoming study that will reveal that the liberal media are just as hostile towards the GOP, despite being in the minority.
[W]e think that there will be almost exactly 90 per cent scrutiny of Republicans again. They don’t control either the White House or the House, but it will be the same negative coverage as in 2018, when they controlled everything.
Bolling asked for specific examples and if there was a new media punching bag such as Sarah Palin or Donald Trump. Bozell responded with Senators Mike Lee and Marco Rubio (FL) in reelection fights, and Senator Ted Cruz (TX), despite him not being on that ballot. Bolling chose Republican gubernatorial candidates Tudor Dixon in Michigan (MI) and Kari lake (AZ).
Bozell also cited the liberal media obsession with January 6th and attacked pro-life Americans (click on “expand”)

Two very, very well-known conservatives. It’s rattling left cage. They can’t stand the very intelligent, smart, beautiful, well-thought out women who are going for big swing state seats — states in the governor’s mansion in Arizona or Michigan. They are being hit hard.
BOZELL: Yes, I don’t — I don’t know what more threatens them. Smart Black men or smart white women. I don’t know what to make of them, but they both threaten liberal dominance. They know it.
