Oct. 18, The Guardian published a bizarre story in which it suggested that “[t]he next pandemic might not be from birds or bats but from matter in melting Ice,” according to new data.
The liberal outlet tried to scare readers into believing in the specter climate COVID. “The findings suggest that as global temperatures rise due to climate change, it becomes more probable that viruses and bacteria stored in permafrost and glaciers could reawaken to infect local wildlife, especially as their range shifts closer to those of the poles.”
The headline of the article was not a sham: “Next pandemic may be from melting glaciers,” new data shows.
However, The Guardian admitted a shocking contradiction that reaffirmed its fear-mongering. It conveniently chose to conceal it in the eighth paragraph. The scientists cited by the Guardian didn’t bother to determine whether the “viruses” in the ice could trigger infections.
The team didn’t quantify how many viruses they had previously identified – something they plan on doing in the coming months. They also did not assess whether these viruses could trigger an infection.
Marc Morano, founder of Climate Depot, criticized The Guardian’s nonsense for legitimizing government-mandated climate lockdowns like the 2020 COVID-19 restrictions.

The Guardian’s climate propaganda falls right in line to a 2020 Project Syndicate piece which pushed an ecodystopian idea by Marianna Muzzacato. The 2020 story used the COVID-19 pandemic as a catalyst to argue that the world may require a “climate lockdown” in order to prevent climate change unless there is a “green economic revolution.”
Morano stated that the Guardian is trying to legitimize these same dystopian ideals by “morphing viruses and climate into one issue”. “Climate activists initially envied the COVID lockdowns, then they decided to replicate the same methods.”
Morano pointed out a Yahoo! Yahoo! Biden could use around 130 powers if he declared a national climate emergency.
Morano stated that climate activists have the intent to “[b]ypass democracy” and rule by abolition of emergency powers. He said, “That is the lesson COVID taught climate activists.”
