Mary Margaret Olohan, The Daily Signal’s Mary Margaret Olohan, reported Thursday that the Department of Defense announced it would pay for service members who travel to abort unborn babies. This and Wednesday’s report by the State Department that it is funding drag shows overseas show how clearly the Biden administration has their priorities completely wrong. The latest example of the Biden government wasting taxpayer money to fund degeneracy, baby killing, was ignored by the three major evening newscasts.
Instead of reporting on the appalling story about the Pentagon funding abortions in military families, ABC’s World News Tonight and CBS Evening News covered a frivolous civil right lawsuit over the Jackson Mississippi water crisis. They also reported on why certain people are more susceptible to being bitten by mosquitoes than others.
According to The Daily Signal, the Pentagon memo detailing their plan to fund abortions says: “Travel and transportation allowances to Service members and their dependents as appropriate and consistent with applicable federal laws and operational requirements and as necessary amend any existing travel regulations, in order to facilitate official travel to access uncovered reproductive health care that’s unavailable within the local area a Service member’s permanent duty station.”
According to The Daily Signal, the memo also states that it will “develop and implement a program to reimburse fees for Defense Department health care professionals who ‘wishes to become licensed in another state than that in which their current license is held.
This means that anyone who wants to perform abortions in other countries will be able do so while being paid for by the Pentagon.
Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Defense, stated that the order would be implemented “as quickly as possible” with a deadline of the end of the year.
“Taking care of our people and ensuring their well-being is our highest priority. Austin, who sounds like a leftist, wrote that the Department of Defense will continue to evaluate our policies to ensure that we provide seamless access to reproductive healthcare as appropriate and consistent under federal law.
