The View’s ladies are divorced from real life, a result of their uber-wealthy lifestyles which prevents them from having to deal with the hardships that average Americans are facing in the Biden economy. Joy Behar, Joy’s soapbox host, is also guilty of ignoring reality when she complains about how struggling Americans rank inflation as their top concern during the midterms. Behar was fortunately confronted by an unlikely cohost and educated on economics on Tuesday.
Behar criticized struggling Americans Friday for focusing on inflation and not helping Democrats in November. She scoffed, “And they don’t realize – a lot of people don’t realize inflation comes to an end.” “[The economy] fluctuates. But democracy doesn’t fluctuate.
On Tuesday, she was back at it, whining about how “only seven percent” of voters consider democracy a threat.
Behar stated that it was absurd for them to believe the Republican Party, or “the other side,” would be able solve these problems. She did not have any evidence and claimed that the GOP would reduce corporate taxes to zero and “cut lunches to children.”
They won’t help you! Why would you vote for them? She sneered at the people below her, questioning their intelligence. “And yet, I see it’s very near, that people don’t understand what the stakes. It’s sad and depressing.
A few minutes later, Republican cohost Alyssa Griffin wanted to “respectfully” call out the “blind spots… at the table” when it came to the struggles of average Americans. She explained to the elite that “the average American family lost $6,000 last year due inflation.”
“Blame Biden, or don’t, there is a reason Tim Ryan is running for Ohio away from Biden, away from Nancy Pelosi,” she said. She also revealed that Ohio had voted twice for Presidents Obama, Trump, and Hillary Clinton. She was speaking and Sara Haines, her co-host, saw the camera. She didn’t seem amused.
These facts triggered Sunny Hostin, Behar’s racist co-host, to shout at Farah Griffin.
BEHAR: And – and what – and then – So, what will be the Republican Party do in this situation?
HOSTIN: What’s the Republican agenda? Do you think these same people realize that the Republicans – the little money they did receive every Republican voted against it.
Farah Griffin countered Hostin by pointing out that “Democrats don’t run on the payments that were made during COVID because that added to inflation!” She also gave them a crash course in simple economics and said: “I wish every American $2,000, $2,000 but that adds to inflation, this crisis now.”
“But it was an emergency!” It was an emergency for us in this nation! And those people needed them,” Behar cried.
Farah Griffin explained to them that “when people artificially can’t go to work due to the economy being shut down” and “you don’t have it forever because it actually exacerbates this problem,” Whoopi Goldberg ended their conversation to go to a commercial, promising to pick it back up on the opposite side. Spoiler alert: They didn’t.
Humana and Carvana sponsored lucrative sponsorships that enabled Joy Behar to show contempt for struggling Americans. You can find their contact information here.

JOY BEHAR Only seven percent of voters ranked democracy’s threat as a major issue in this election cycle.
It is so depressing to me, I can’t even begin to describe it.
WHOOPI GOLDBERG : This is why I don’t like polls.
BEHAR: Well –
SUNNY HOSTIN: It’s depressing.
BEHAR: You can debate the poll, but this is what people are saying. I get that inflation has got people. It’s depressing to not have food on the table. If you put gas in your car, inflation, and rents, you will see that everything is increasing for various reasons. One of these is the pandemic. Another is the war in Iraq – in Ukraine.
But – To think that the other party will be able solve these problems is absurd. The Republican Party is happy to allow corporations to pay no tax for the rest their lives. They will reduce Social Security. They will cut lunches for children. They won’t help you! They won’t help you!
Yet, I can see that it’s very close. People don’t understand the stakes. It’s saddening and depressing.

ALYSSA FARAH GRAFIN: But I have a question – I want it to be said respectfully – I am concerned that there might be a blind spot at this table. The fact that the average American family lost $6,000 last year due to inflation is the reason I ask. Blame Biden, or not, but there’s a reason Tim Ryan is running for Ohio against Nancy Pelosi and Biden.
This is the same state that twice nominated Barack Obama for president, but then flipped to Donald Trump. Workers feel they aren’t getting the best out of the economy and they’re falling behind.
BEHAR: And – and what – and then – So, what will be the Republican Party do in this situation?
HOSTIN: What’s the Republican agenda? Do you think these same people realize that the Republicans – the little money they did receive every Republican voted against it.
FARAH GRAFIN: But there’s another reason Democrats aren’t–
HOSTIN: Each and every one.
FARAH GRAFIN: — They are still paying the COVID payments because it increased inflation. I wish I could afford every American $2,000 or $2,000 but it only adds to inflation and the current crisis.
[Crosstalk]
HOSTIN: What should they do [inaudible]?
BEHAR: It was an emergency! It was an emergency for us in this country!
FARAH GRAFIN: I agree.
BEHAR: It was so important for these people.
FARAH GRAFFIN: [Inaudible] during the height of the pandemic, when people were unable to go to work artificially because the economy was down. It doesn’t work forever, it actually worsens the problem.
HOSTIN: What about hearing aids? How about lowering Medicare?
GOLDBERG: Hold on! Here’s what we are going to do. We’re going break and give Rob a break. Then we’ll come back to finish the conversation.
