Lucianne Goldberg, a literary agent and proprietor of Lucianne.com, has died at the Media Research Center on Wednesday, October 26th, at the age of 87. In 2002, she took to the stage at DisHonors Awards, accepting a award in jest for Helen Thomas. She was a judge for many years for the MRC’s annual Best of Notable Quotables Awards: Awards for the Year’s Worst Reporting.
Most famously, she was Linda Tripp’s friend, who revealed to a journalist details about President Bill Clinton’s sexual relationship to Monica Lewinsky, making her hated by much of the left-wing Washington, DC press corp.
The Media Research Center presented the “DisHonors Award: Roasting the Most Outrageously Biased Libertarian Reporters of 2001” to an audience at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.
Helen Thomas’s “Bring Back Bubba Award” was accepted by Goldberg. We will miss him.
Goldberg accepted the award and noted that many journalists owed her debt: “I was able give them one solid, golden triple platinum overtime covering Monica Lewinsky’s story.” They love me for it. They have purchased homes, trailers, golf equipment, sports cars, and paid Monica Lewinsky their alimony.”
