Media swarm after Yankees’ fans pour hate on Sen. Cruz

After their four-straight defeat by Houston in the American League Championship Series, Yankees fans were in a bad mood Sunday night. Their only consolation was to hurl hate at Ted Cruz, a Texas Republican U.S. Senator.

When Sen. Ted Cruz stood up to leave his seat behind the home plate, he was booed loudly. He was greeted with Italian salutes and called a “racist piece” of shit. His supporters were heard shouting at him, “fuck you!” and “Get out of New York!”

The Daily Show continued to rant, claiming that New York fans had made a series loss into an opportunity for humanity.

“I mean, yeah it sucks we lost and season’s over but, hey, at the least we got to name Ted Cruz a lying motherfucking Capitol-storming racist sonofabitch,” a fictional Yankees fan said on a Daily Show spoof.

Colby Hall, a Mediaite writer, called Sen. Cruz a loser who supports cheaters like the Astros or former President Donald Trump. He described Sen. Cruz as “not bothered by the consequentialism associated with a ‘win-at-all costs’ approach, as demonstrated by his blind loyalty to former President Donald Trump.”

A sign-stealing scandal tainted Houston’s 2017 World Series title. Hall, one of their most well-known fans, must also be rejected for their 2022 American League title.

Hall stated that there are no winners in the story of Sen. Cruz and the Astros.

When it comes to winners, “racist,” a term that refers to a son of a Cuban immigrant who received political asylum in the United States, is a strange one. Rafael Cruz’s son was an immigrant’s child who rose to the rank of U.S. senator. But to the Big Apple geniuses – a sanctuary town, no less – he’s just another Latin American racist.

Vice News President Jesse Angelo tweeted a photo of the awful scene at Yankee Stadium, with the message “…

“@tedcruz came to @yankeestadium wearing @astros colors tonight. The Bronx replied in kind …”

TMZ met Sen. Cruz in New York Monday to ask him about Sunday’s grotesque treatment at Yankee Stadium. He chose to take the high road and stated:

“It was an amazing game, it was breathtaking, and I appreciated New York’s great hospitality. I’ll tell you what I told Yankees fans that came to Houston. My daughter and I were at Game 2 together. I said, “Look, we’re going be polite, and we’re gonna treat you wonderfully. And, sorry, I hope I whip your ass.” It was a great game. …'” He claimed that the Yanks were the greatest ever and that he was grateful for the “time of my life.”

The Yankees and their hateful supporters won’t be accused either of winning anything important since 2009’s last world title or of following the same high road as the conservative senator. They and the media have set a very low bar if they think acting like obscene idiots will be a win for humanity.
