Morning Joe Condemns Fetterman Stroke As A Legit Issue. Morning Joe Trashed Dr. Oz

It was a schizoid Morning Joe today. Joe Scarborough and others defended Dasha Burns, NBC reporter, against the criticism she has been receiving from the liberal media regarding her comments about Fetterman’s interview. Fetterman used closed captioning during the interview to understand her questions. Burns stated that Fetterman used closed captioning to understand her questions in a subsequent NBC Nightly News interview.

But Morning Joe quickly flipped to attacking Dr. Oz, Fetterman’s Republican opponent in the US Senate race. Mika Brzezinski said, “We’ll put doctor-in quotes for Dr. Oz.” Oz.” Oz received his undergraduate degree from Harvard in biology magnacum laude. He then went on to earn his MD and MBA degrees at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and Penn’s Wharton School.

Jonathan Lemire, who managed to keep his straight face and claim, “We’re not on any team, we’re on no one’s side” was a hilarious moment.

This is the man who wrote “The Big Lie”, which the publisher describes “a probing, illuminating analysis about current state of American politics, focusing specifically on Donald Trump’s lies about election fraud.”

Lemire’s claim that he was not on any side was further lied when he claimed Fetterman had been “very transparent upfront [about his stroke]” and deserves credit for it. Fetterman refuses to release his medical records!

George Conway, disgraced Lincoln Project, gushed about Fetterman at the end of the segment. He claimed he didn’t know anyone with the “neurological capability” Fetterman allegedly displays in pulling off political “jiu jitsu” on Oz.

Scarborough agreed with the sycophancy. “Yeah, that’s great.”

Notable: Scarborough & Co. should not be credited for not denying what is obvious. Fetterman’s incapacity, however, is a legitimate issue for voters. Fetterman will not be able to communicate with people if he needs closed captioning.

Morning Joe agrees that John Fetterman’s stroke was a valid issue but then proceeds to trash Dr. Oz. This was sponsored in part of GlaxoSmithKline which makes Shingrix, Subway and Sleep Number as well as Xfinity.

Here’s the transcript.

JOE SCARBOROUGH – A remarkable report from Pennsylvania

MIKA BRZEZINSKI — NBC’s Dasha Burns.

SCARBOROUGH — This has upset some Democrats. They are like, “Oh my God, it’s okay for us to talk about Herschel Walker all the day, but please don’t talk to a guy who has closed captioning in an interveiw.” How dare you do that! Because voters don’t care.

We don’t really know if voters care or not. They decide, and unfortunately some people have.
A lot of followers decide to attack the reporter for doing his job.

MIKA: Thank you for doing your job.

SCARBOROUGH – Wait, what? Are they getting tips from Donald Trump supporters? It’s not fair to attack a reporter for being a journalist. And by the way, this stroke is a significant, important health event. People who like to attack reporters and say, “This doesn’t matter.” These people are crazy to ask such dumb questions. These are the dumbest of questions. It matters, and they look like fools. They don’t look smart, they look like fools, and they suggest that voters might not be interested in the ability of a man to serve as a United States Senator. Right?

You don’t go. Oh, but it’s you. No! Fetterman answered no! Fetterman responded well, I have to say.

MIKA: Oh, yeah!

SCARBOROUGH – [Mika heard excitedly giggline] The tweet in which he mentioned that he attended the Philly Live Board editorial board meeting was amazing. He said, “I showed up for the Philly Live Board editorial board meeting and my opponent did not.” You can see the entire thing. It was skipped by Dr. Oz. I had a stroke! And I was there! Dr. Oz, what’s your excuse? This is how you transform a disadvantage into an advantage. [Mika squeals in delight.]

Two short people spoke on an ad that was long, long, and long ago. But, but, but, he actually took outot on social networking again after the Dasha Burns interview and began turning it in his favor. And I must admit, it was a game of expectations.

These things are always crucial. Dasha Burns is partly to thank. She didn’t mean to do it. She was reporting. But she got it out there, closed captioning screen. Dr. Oz is there and, you’ll notice, he [Fetterman] could use that line. He’s making fun at me for having a stroke.

JONATHAN LEMIRE (Yes) First, Dasha’s job as reporters is to tell stories and present information. We are not on any team, and we are not on any side. Yesterday was full of that, like, “Why are you attacking him with so much whataboutism?” She did an excellent job. Fetterman’s response is that it is a real issue that he had a stroke a few weeks ago. His team and doctors agree that he is doing well. They expect him to fully recover, but he has some auditory problems right now. It’s much easier for him.

MIKA: — Part of the process.

LEMIRE: — To talk to someone who uses closed captioning. It’s all part of the process. He has been, they have been very transparent with that, and deserve credit.

He does. You’re correct, he can use this and his campaign is great throughout, trolling Dr. Oz on social media, hitting Oz because he lives in New Jersey, votes in Turkey, and goes to Dallas Cowboys games. You’re trying to represent a state which includes the Philadelphia Eagles. That’s not a good choice if you’re going at Dallas Cowboys games.

They’ve been picking apart, one by one, issues on Oz, and the crudite, of all things. This is the result! He’s now using this to set up the debate and also suggest, “Look, I have this health problem, many of my constituents, my future constituents have had the same health issues.” He is not compassionate as a human being, but he is a doctor who doesn’t know about my medical issues. The Fetterman team made yesterday a positive moment out of a very difficult situation.

SCARBOROUGH – It’s not right for a doctor to mock someone who has had a stroke.

MIKA: We’ll get Dr. Oz quotes.

SCARBOROUGH: Exactly.

George, I thought Fetterman. First of all, I think that you’d agree to me that it’s a legitimate matter.

GEORGE CONWAY: This is absolutely legal.

SCARBOROUGH – Dasha did an excellent job reporting. Second, it appears that Fetterman did an excellent job juxtaposing himself to Dr. Oz in that interview.

CONWAY: Yes, that jiu jitsu he keeps pulling off is a great example of, I don’t know, who has the neurological ability to do that consistently. It’s quite good, I think!

SCARBOROUGH: Yeah. It’s great.
