NPR-Affiliate Flunkies Try to Tie Elise Stefanik and Paul Pelosi Attacker

Leftist hackers at a National Public Radio affiliate made wild hyperbole about a GOP congresswoman, arbitrarily linking her to the “nudist militant” who attacked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Elise Stefanik (R.NY) tweeted Oct. 28, following the attack on Paul Pelosi, that she wished him a “full recovery” from “this absolutely horrific violent attack” at his home. Pelosi was taken to a hospital to undergo surgery to fix a skull fracture. Stefanik stated that David DePape, the suspect in the incident, “should be prosecuted to its full extent.”

North Country Public Radio reporter Zach Hirsch tweeted Stefanik just two hours later: “Some context here is necessary.” According to Hirsh, Stefanik is indirectly responsible for the attack because of her verbal opposition to Speaker Pelosi’s policies. Common sense is dead.

We wish Paul a speedy recovery from this horrible violent attack.

This criminal should be prosecuted to its fullest extent. We are grateful to law enforcement for their valuable work.

David Sommerstein, Director of NCPR News, promoted Hirsch’s absurd logic by being more direct. “[Stefanik] denounces violence in politics. But her day to day rhetoric may contribute to it.” This ain’t journalism. It’s a fallacious, leftist tabloid nonsense that was partly funded by New York State and the U.S taxpayers. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) Rapid Response Director Christina Pushaw took aim at Sommerstein’s propaganda via Twitter: “So by that logic @davidncpr was responsible for congressional baseball game shooter, who claimed he was trying kill republicans and almost killed Scalise?”

. @EliseStefanik @RepStefanik denounces violent political acts. But her day-today rhetoric could contribute to it. An important thread from @zdhirsch who’s reported on Stefanik all year for @ncpr https://t.co/jODAJ2RTa9

“Stefanik frequently blasts Nancy Pelosi using increasingly harsh and personal attacks,” Hirsch blasted in a babbling Twitter thread promoting his “context.”

He said, “To be clear: There is no evidence that Stefanik incited this act of violence.” It is clear that political rhetoric can have real-world consequences.

After pontificating on the dangers inherent in “political rhetoric,” Hirsch did a 180-degree flip and smeared Stefanik, comparing her position regarding illegal immigration to the self-proclaimed white supremacist mass shooting suspect in Buffalo, New York: Payton Genedron.

Stefanik frequently attacks Nancy Pelosi with more harsh and personal attacks. Stefanik stated last year that Nancy Pelosi is America’s most disliked elected official. He then accused Pelosi of a false conspiracy theory.

Hirsch said that Stefanik’s campaign had posted ads last year accusing Democrats of planning an uprising by allegedly granting amnesty for immigrants who will “overthrow our current elected officials”.

Hirsch conveniently forgot to mention that Stefanik was specifically referring to illegal immigration in those ads.

Hirsch, however, ignoring any obvious fallacy roadblocks, attempted to malign Stefanik’s logical stance on illegal immigration by claiming that it “closely resembled white supremacist substitution theory.”

Uh, what?

Hirsch’s logic continued its downward spiral.

A white gunman opened fire at a Buffalo supermarket in the spring, killing 10 Blacks. He appears to have written the same theory prior to the shooting. Stefanik initially denounced violence, but then she doubled down on her campaign ads.

Newsflash Hirsch: The fact that illegal immigration is illegal does not make it a “great replacement theory” or reflect the white supremacist views expressed by an alleged mass killer.

Stefanik campaign Senior Advisor Alex DeGrasse was fired by NCPR for spreading dangerous propaganda in comments to the Media Research Center

The taxpayer-funded NCPR – without any evidence – shamefully claims that Congresswoman Stefanik is responsible in the attack on Paul Pelosi because she disagrees with Pelosi’s policies. They refuse to cover the violent leftist rhetoric that led to an assassination attempt against a Supreme Court Justice. They should and will be defunded for this deranged and dangerous act.
