NUTTY: NYT Guest Essay Predicts that Van Gogh’s History May Absolve It of Climate ‘Soup Throwers.

The New York Times published a garbage essay written by a radical environmentalist. It defended young climate fanatics who throw “soup” on the world-famous Vincent van Gogh paintings, calling it an example “creative methods” of stopping fossil fuel production.

Andreas Malm, a professor at Lund University, emerged as a white knight to “Just Stop Oil” protestors who threw “soup” onto Vincent van Gogh’s 1889 painting “Sunflowers.” Malm wrote in an Oct. 20 guest essay that “History May Absolve Soup Throwers” for The Times.

Malm admitted that Vincent van Gogh was not responsible for the climate collapse. He was not the C.E.O. He was not the C.E.O.

The professor even went as far as to justify “property destruction” in order to promote a climate revolution.

“The ethics of property destruction is not complicated in this instance. Fossil fuels are deadly. You can prevent death by stopping the flow of these fuels and causing damage to the machinery they produce. You stop the infliction of harm. You can destroy an inanimate object. No one in the climate movement suggests anything other than that dead things be targeted in order to protect living creatures. Or, to put it another way, if you’re locked in a house that is on fire, you have the right to smash some windows to escape.” [Emphasis added].

Malm justification for his promotion of “sabotage,” as long as it is “precise, gritty,” The Guardian reported that in April, “Just Stop Oil” activists vandalized stations in England. Malm stated in The New York Times that “they hit the nail right on the head” because gasoline is “a fuel of global warming.”

But if van Gogh paintings and gas stations aren’t worth protecting then what is?

Malm says it is not much.

He wrote that “There is a whole planet layer of stations and pipelines, platforms and platforms, as well as terminals, terminals and mines that must be shut off to save humanity and all other life-forms.” [Emphasis added].

Malm continued on the eco-extremist train, riding it all the way to the finish. The professor gave a nod towards “climate Militancy,” which supposedly includes “civil disobedience”, and even “guerilla war” to reduce global carbon emission.

The “soup throwers”, wore shirts with the words “Just Stop Oil” on them, which corresponds to a far-left group that is dedicated to eliminating fossil fuels. The group’s website declares that fossil fuels are “killing us.” The video of the soup throwing has been viewed thousands of times on YouTube and is featured prominently on Just Stop Oil’s homepage.

Conservatives are being attacked. The New York Times can be reached at 1-800-698-43737 to demand that it stop promoting climate fanaticism and allowing radical ecologists to justify criminal behavior, as long as they are promoting climate change.
