NYT WHINES Alternative Social Media platforms allow free speech pre-Midterms

The New York Times reported that disinformation on social media platforms is spreading faster than it was before the midterms.

Ironically, The Times used the disinformation governance board’s former head to support its claims. According to The Times, social media “isn’t doing enough” to censor Americans.

The leftist New York Times quoted Nina Jankowicz, former head of the now-defunct Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board(DGB), to denounce alternative social media and free speech.

Jankowicz stated that “I think the situation is worse than ever,” The Times quoted Jankowicz. Jankowicz was referring to the fact that Jankowicz resigned as DGB chief after backlash.

According to McLaughlin & Associates’ Media Research Center survey, the Times was particularly concerned about the need to quench “disinformation” before the Nov. 8 midterm election. However, evidence has shown that Big Media and Big Tech censored the Hunter Biden laptop story in order to steal the election for Joe Biden in 2020. The Times specifically defended Biden, and openly attacked Republicans in its piece.

The Times stated that voters must now sort through “an ever-growing torrent if lies and falsehoods” as also “conspiracy theories percolating right-wing media.”

The outlet cited biased NewsGuard leftist news to support its claims. It also claimed that “purveyors” of disinformation had become more sophisticated in their attempts to circumvent the major platforms’ rules. MRC Free Speech America research found that NewsGuard’s ratings were biased in favor of left-leaning outlets. They were rated as having significantly more credibility than right-leaning outlets.

The Times reported that at least 69 million people have signed up for pro-free speech platforms such as GETTR, Gab and Rumble. They also complained that individuals who are banned from platforms like Twitter or Facebook can still post on these platforms. The outlet worried that messages shared on these platforms can be posted to the major Big Tech platforms as screenshots.

The Times also screamed about a message that former President Donald Trump posted to his Truth Social platform. He claimed that it showed he won in 2020 the presidential vote in Wisconsin, prior to voter fraud. Although the outlet did not quote directly from the message, it complained that it was read by thousands.

“Mr. “Mr. “It jumped to his app to other social networking platforms — not podcasts or television.

The Times reported that Trump’s message was seen by more than a million people. This is a perfect example of “disinformation” that has “metastasized” and “arguably more pervasive, widespread,” The Times claimed.
