Despite Democrats bragging about their large spending “achievements”, Stephanie Ruhle, MSNBC The 11th Hour host, lamented Monday that voters won’t blame Republicans for high spending when she reported that the Secret Service was charged by the Trump Organization nearly $1200 per night.
Ruhle tried to paint Republicans as hypocrites on this issue, and addressed former Sen. Claire McCaskill. He said that Americans don’t seem to care about the alleged hypocrisy. “When you talk to the American people they’ve been made to believe it’s Democrats. They’re the ones that overspend, they’re not the ones who know how to manage money.”
Ruhle then assembled a list of Republicans who criticized Democrats for being excessive spenders. Ironically, Ruhle keeps asking for answers about what Republicans will do to reduce inflation. Even when she gets the answer she wants, it is still not satisfactory. After the montage, she asked McCaskill for his help. “So, let’s get this straight Claire. Republicans have a problem with Democrats overspending. But they are fine with a president ripping them off.
This could be because Democrats are currently in power, and Trump-Secret Service is not as costly as the Democrats’ COVID bill.
McCaskill, for her part, tried to suggest that Republicans were worse than Ruhle’s alledges. McCaskill said, “Well, Stephanie, it’s worse than that. Under Donald Trump, we had record-breaking debt and deficits.” Ruhle was exaggeratedly nodding her head. I watched as Republicans voted on big spending bills after big spending bills from the Senate floor.
Emergency COVID spending was the reason for record deficits. People like McCaskill and Ruhle demanded shutdowns and cast anyone who disagreed as grandma murderers.
McCaskill had singled out Sen. Mike Lee and demanded that he denounce Trump. Ruhle responded, “Please don’t hold your breath Clair. We care too much about You.”
You should not wait for Ruhle to offer even the slightest criticism of Democrats’ economic policies.

STEPHANIE ROHLE: But, here’s a problem, Claire. While everything Charles says makes sense, Americans have been led to believe that Democrats are overspending and don’t know how money works.
ELISE STEFANIK: The reckless spending of President Biden and the House Democrats and failures to spend far-left have pushed our economy into recession.
STEVE SCALISE – Increasing spending to the tune hundreds of billions of dollar.
ROY BLUNT – More tax and spending will make this problem worse, rather than better.
MITCH McCONNELL: Democrats opted to spend so recklessly.
JOHN THUNE
JONI ERNST – They are pushing this reckless tax and spending bill… Stop spending money.
RUHLE Republicans have a problem with Democrats overspending. But they are fine with a president ripping them off.
CLAIRE MCCASKILL : Stephanie, it was worse. Under Donald Trump, we had record levels of debt and deficits. I watched as Republicans voted on big spending bills after big spending bill from the Senate floor. You know, I can still remember Mike Lee, who is running for his life in Utah. I can recall the Tea Party in 2010. It was all about government spending. Mike Lee, tomorrow would make a great day to protest government spending. Tomorrow would be a great opportunity for you to say, “I’m not going to tolerate the government being overcharged” and I will wait to find out if he does. Because they only care about spending when they aren’t doing it.
RUHLE: We care too much about Clair, so don’t hold your breath Clair.
