The View Decries the ‘Unempathetic’ Criticism of Fetterman, Oz “Bullied” Him

Two weeks ago, The View’s cackling group mocked Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Wade for his speech and suggested that he might have brain damage. To mock the debate performance of Ron DeSantis, they used the term “stroke” earlier this week. On Wednesday, however, after the Pennsylvania Senate debate, they decried John Fetterman’s criticism and accused Mehmet Oz, Republican candidate, of “bully[ing] stroke victims.”

Joy Behar declared on October 13 that “What makes the Republicans think Herschel Walker can be coherent and hasn’t had strokes?” She then read some of Walker’s bizarre remarks about climate change, shifting patterns in clean and dirty air. Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines and Sara Haines laughed in mocking laughter.

HOSTIN [Mockingly] – That’s a very valid point!

HAINES [Mockingly] : Oh! It’s okay!

The conversation led to an unsupported claim that Walker suffered from CTE brain damage as a result of his time as a NFL running back. This is why Walker talks the way that he does.

Behar mocked DeSantis’ response to a hostile question, hinting at a potential run for president in 2024, on Tuesday. Behar was again scathing about DeSantis’ charisma. He looks like he is having a stroke.

Behar was furious that Fetterman’s mental state after a stroke had been raised 24 hours later.

She groaned, “The Republican Party is running a bunch ads about Fetterman, and you know, stumbling onto things because of the stroke.” “What kinda doctor is that?” You are supposed to do no harm. It’s so uncompassionate to the guy, you understand.”

Hostin took Behar’s criticisms and attacked Oz, stating: “He chose to bully stroke victims.” She agreed with Behar’s statement.

Hostin almost praised Fetterman in the same sentence for his bravery in showing his “weakness” while suggesting there was nothing wrong.

HOSTIN: It takes courage to admit that you have been hurt. It takes courage to let people see your weakness. Right?

[Applause]

We know that Fetterman’s cognitive abilities are not compromised.

Hostin quickly responded, “It’s not about expression that hasn’t been compromised.” She also defended him, stating that “this guy is smart.” He received a Harvard degree in public policy and a master’s degree from Harvard. He also served as mayor for many years.

None of this he was able to accomplish after his stroke.

Sunny attacks NBC’s Dasha burns, and says it was “inappropriate” for her to admit Fetterman is in trouble.
“Maybe she’s bad with small talk!” It could be her! Whoopi chides.

While The View tried to defend Fetterman’s poor condition and poor performance during the debate, they once attacked Dasha Burns, NBC correspondent, for exposing how badly his condition was two week ago.

Hostin stated that it was inappropriate for Burns to tell Pennsylvania voters Fetterman was in difficulty. “Maybe she’s bad with small talk!” Perhaps it was her!” cohost Whoopi Goldberg screamed at the time. Hostin agreed that it might have been her.

The lucrative sponsorships of Sandals and Procter & Gamble made it possible for this hypocrisy to defend Fetterman and mock Republicans. You can find their contact information here.

JOY BEHAR – The Republican Party has a lot of ads about Fetterman, who is, you know, still struggling to walk after the stroke. Is that really the doctor behind this? You are supposed to do no harm, right? It’s so uncompassionate to the guy, you know.

I just want Oz to be very professional. Remember that he’s a TV man. Kari Lake, another TV woman from Arizona, is also there. They’re very slick. Fetterman is a bit like a stroke, but he’s not as slick without it. But he is a thinker and has governed, you see?

Oz, and I know Oz. I’ve been to his home, and he is apart of me. I called him once to help me with the recommendation for a physician, and he was there for my needs. He’s a bit like Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde. I don’t know which Dr. Oz is real, but voting for the slick person on television is like voting to me. For politics, don’t vote for my side.

[Laughter]

Although I can work on television, it doesn’t mean that I’m an expert. We had Donald Trump. Now we have Oz, and now we also have this Kari lake. Don’t let that fool you.

SUNNY HOSTIN – It was very strange for me that he chose bully stroke victims.

BEHAR: Yeah, exactly.

HOSTIN: He clearly bullied him. You know, I don’t think Pennsylvanians or the general public liked it because Fetterman raised $1million after that debate. It takes courage to admit that you have been defeated. It takes courage to let people see your weaknesses. Right?

[Applause]

We know that Fetterman’s cognitive abilities are not compromised. It’s all about expression.

BEHAR: Right.

HOSTIN: This has been compromised.

SARA HAINES – Aphasia.

HOSTIN: Aphasia, exactly. This is a smart man. Harvard gave him a master’s degree in public policy. This isn’t a stupid man. As you mentioned, this was a governor of Pennsylvania.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: Lieutenant governor

HOSTIN: Was mayor – l lieutenant Governor – was mayor for many decades and, as you know, has just lived his life in public services. Why would you vote for the whack physician?

BEHAR: The quack.

HOSTIN: The quack.

BEHAR: He isn’t a quack.

HOSTIN: Not vote – I mean, I was on his program many, many times but he, you see, really rode the line.

BEHAR: He did it for money and power.

HOSTIN: Yes, he did.
