Monday was the first opportunity for ABC’s The View ladies to talk about the Georgia Senate debate between Republican Herschel Walker and Democrat Raphael Warnock. Sunny Hostin was impressed with Walker’s professionalism and managed to keep out racist comments. However, most of the panel couldn’t believe their ears. They suggested that Hostin must be drunk because Walker looked so good because the bar was “SO low.”
Whoopi Goldberg, co-host of the debate, suggested that those who said Walker won or did well were giving him sympathy points. “Now, some people say that Walker did better then they expected. She stated, “You know, I suppose when the bar is so low we’re happy to witness people do well at any level.”
Sunny Hostin, Sunny’s co-host, said that her father was shocked that Walker didn’t have CTE brain injury. She said Walker did well, and she worries that he will win voters.
I did say that I saw it with my father. It was appointment television, and we were there to see these two black men representing Georgia. This could very well change the Senate. He did so much more than I thought he would that I thought I had gained votes. And I’m not talking here about Warnock. Walker is what I am referring to.
My father said that he might not have CTE. That was one of the first things my father thought when he heard how he was able discuss issues.
Sara Haines, co-host of the show, interrupted immediately to say that “the bar was so high!” Goldberg responded just as quickly with a ridiculous criticism she doesn’t understand: “I wouldn’t – I wouldn’t call it “discuss issues”. It was a little bit – it was a little awkward for me.
Whoopi, your criticism was a little too stuttery for the rest of us.
“It felt like that. We watched it, and we left thinking Warnock had underperformed, and Walker had overperformed,” Hostin argued. Haines continued to slam Walker, blaming Walker for having different standards. Walker was said to be “up against the higher standard” and Warnock “up against it”.
Hostin claimed that Walker was “pretty smart” to tie Warnock to Biden, and that “He seemed like he’d been prepared really well.” But Hostin also promoted the BIG LIE about Georgia’s voter suppression.
Before Hostin could finish her comments, Ana Navarro, a raging faux Republican, interrupted to suggest that Hostin was drunk because she believed Walker did well (despite the fact that she had never seen the debate).
NAVARRO(interrupting): Girl, I don’t know what you were drinking when you watched that debate because —
HOSTIN: That was how I felt.
NAVARRO: I saw the clips and thought he sounded good.
HOSTIN: Clips of the whole debate, but not the entire one.
NAVARRO (NOT): I didn’t see the debate, because I was out with Whoopi. We had a great time at the New York wine and food festival.
“I saw the clips and he couldn’t, you know he didn’t have a coherent thought. She shouted, “He couldn’t complete his sentences, and he was lying again.”
Evidently, Navarro does not watch clips of President Joe Biden or the Pennsylvania Senate candidate and Lt. Governor. John Fetterman (D).
Goldberg, Haines and Navarro felt Warnock won, while Hostin was the sole Walker touter. Faux Republican Alyssa Farah Griff cast a vote for “present” because she had nothing to add about their debate.

HIANES: Senator Warnock was against the higher standard. I believe that Herschel Walker’s coverage has shown how many times he lies about things that can be immediately proven false and wrong, and he just keeps going. My guess is that you had low standards when you first came in.
HOSTIN: We did. But I still have to say that I think it was smart to try to tie Warnock to Biden’s low approval. He looked like he was well-prepared. We have all these voting restrictions in Georgia, you know. It will make it very difficult to vote.
ANA NAVARRO (interrupting).
HOSTIN: That was how I felt.
