“Dump Biden” Campaign Is Back *On* Again // (Steven Hayward)

The White House is already circling the wagons with reasons why the election disaster cannot be attributed to President Biden. However, the coordinated campaign to force Biden out of office in 2024, which was started here several months ago, appears to be getting an early relaunch a week before the election.

Watch the New York Times tonight. Power Line:

MIAMI GARDENS (Fla.) — On Tuesday, President Biden verbally misunderstood the American war in Iraq and the Russian war in Ukraine. He then fumbled yet again while trying to correct himself. He also misstated how his son Beau died in 2015.

In defense of his record on inflation, Mr. Biden tried to blame rising costs on Russia’s President Vladimir V. Putin for his invasion in Ukraine. This has roiled international oil markets. He makes this point often in public speeches. But this time, he confused his geography with history.

During a speech at O.B., Mr. Biden stated that inflation is a global problem because of the war in Iraq and its impact on oil. Johnson Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla. before heading to Miami Gardens for an afternoon campaign rally with Democratic candidates. He quickly realized his mistake. He said, “Excuse me,” “The war in Ukraine.”

He tried to explain how he had mixed the two wars but he said, “I think about Iraq because that’s my son died.” Beau Biden, a Delaware Army National Guard military lawyer, actually served for a year as an Iraqi soldier. He returned home in 2009, and died in the United States from brain cancer in 2015. .

At 79, Mr. Biden is the oldest American president. His gaffes date back to his youth. His misstatements are more prominent and more visible now that he is constantly in the spotlight of the presidency. According to a survey conducted by Siena College and New York Times this summer, while Mr. Biden has stated that he plans to run for another term, his age was at the top of the list of Democratic voters who said they want the party’s alternative.

This headline is flashing a beacon to the rest the media, reminding them to create their own drumbeat of stories about this theme. Perhaps the Times new Biden-era motto is, “All news that’s fit for print about our unfit President.”
