The movable electorate seems to be moving towards Republican candidates. The 50 percent threshold in polls has been a barrier for incumbent Senate Democrats, a sign that they may be having a problem. Maggie Hassan, Incumbent Democratic Senator, is a worthless zero. However, incumbency has its benefits and New Hampshire is a swing state.
Hassan was fortunate to be able to challenge Chris Sununu, the incumbent Republican Governor of New Hampshire. Sununu is New Hampshire’s most popular politician. I believe Hassan also chose the opponent she preferred when Don Bolduc, a retired Army Brigadier General, defeated Chuck Morse, New Hampshire Senate President in a bizarrely late Republican primary.
According to a poll of likely voters released by Saint Anselm College Survey Center Bolduc is now in second place to pull even with Hassan. here The full results of the poll are summarized here . Bolduc is leading the poll by one point at 48-47%, within the margin (+/- 2.5%. Bolduc is moving towards Hassan, however, as Hassan is still below 50 percent.
The good news is that Karoline Leavitt, 25, appears poised for victory over Chris Pappas, Democrat incumbent in New Hampshire’s First Congressional District. Leavitt, who is on the verge of victory, was featured in an October 30 story. According to the poll, Leavitt holds a 51-45 percent advantage over Chris Pappas, a two-term incumbent Democrat. This is within the poll’s slightly larger margin for error for the congressional election (+/- 3.5%), but it gives an idea about what is happening.
