ups? Tossups?

Breitbart has an Article on New Hampshire’s Senate Race. General Don Bolduc, of whom I confess I have not heard until recently, stormed from behind to take the seat of incumbent mediocrity Maggie Hassan.

Wendell Husebo, Breitbart’s editor, points out that neither Joe Biden or Barack Obama have ever set foot in New Hampshire for Hassan’s campaign. I conclude that Hassan doesn’t want to be associated to Biden, and Obama doesn’t want to associate with a sinking vessel. In any case, Hassan is now on her own, and like many other Democrats in this cycle, she is running a stealthy campaign from her basement.

Gen. Bolduc said Saturday that she had closed down events “for a reason.” “She communicates via email and newsletter for reasons. She doesn’t go to town halls for a reason. And when she does, they are zoom townhalls. She’s hiding.

I should add that Gen. Bolduc was first mentioned to me in conversation with Tulsi Gabriel. She woke up early to fly to New Hampshire for Bolduc’s campaign after our event. She said that she had vetted him and that he was a good guy. I believe that Gen. Bolduc was her first Senate candidate. Having seen her in action, I suspect her support is part of Bolduc’s surge.

This is how the Breitbart story about the New Hampshire race ends.

RealClearPolitics has identified seven Senate races as tossups. These include Arizona, Nevada, Washington State and Georgia, as well as Wisconsin. RealClearPolitics projected Tuesday Gen. Bolduc will defeat Hassan.

That last projection is correct. But what about the other projections?

Pennsylvania: I don’t care that the polls have been tight. I don’t think Pennsylvanians or residents of any other state will elect a poor, sad John Fetterman as their senatorial candidate.

Arizona: Kari lake is going to win by a landslide and she will provide Blake Masters with the last two points he needs to make it to the top.

Nevada: In the polls, Adam Laxalt is a point or two ahead of Cortez Masto. I believe his margin of victory is greater than that.

Washington: The GOP gets a total free throw. History has shown that Patty Murray, another mediocrity, should be allowed to pass. Who knows, maybe it’s a big Republican night. Tiffany Smiley may slip by.

Georgia: It’s Herschel Walk all the way. Georgians are fed up with Stacey Abrams and Georgia is reminiscent of Arizona. Governor Brian Kemp will win over the has-been Abrams and that will give Walker a huge advantage.

Wisconsin: Why is Ron Johnson so underestimated? I don’t know. He is a great senator and a good campaigner. His opponent is a left-wing extremist from a state that is purple and trending to right. Johnson will be the GOP’s representative in the Senate.

These races, together with New Hampshire, add up to +4 for Republicans. Although I consider myself an optimist, I don’t believe the Republicans’ capture of the Senate will be a nail-biter.
