‘s Kaptur wins reelection. Trump aide Max Miller also heads to Congress //
Marcy Kaptur, Democrat, is the longest-serving woman in U.S. House History. won another term Tuesday after Republican J.R. Majewski’s campaign was stalled by misrepresentations of his military service.
Kaptur, who was facing her most difficult challenge since 1982 when she was first elected, defeated Majewski in a congressional district redrawn in 2018 and considered a political tossup.
Majewski was forced by The Associated Press to defend himself in September. They reported that he had misrepresented key aspects of his Air Force service, including his story about being a combat veteran who served a tour under “tough” conditions in Afghanistan.
He denied lying about his past and said that he proudly served his country. The National Republican Campaign Committee cancelled TV ads it had booked to support him campaign.
Kaptur, a popular Democrat from Toledo, took advantage of Majewski’s resume and asked other questions. He was branded by her as a former devotee of QAnon conspiracy theory theories and passed through police barricades last year’s deadly insurrection on the U.S. Capitol.
She stated, “I don’t believe there’s ever been a time in my public life that I have seen the country as divided as it is today.” “This victory in this particular district today shows that people can come together, regardless of whether they are Democrat, Republican, or independent.” They can come together if they have good government and if they stay close to each other. We also need to make sure that certain evil forces don’t impact their lives.
During the campaign, Kaptur distanced herself from President Joe Biden and released an ad saying she didn’t work with him. Majewski’s campaign tried to link Kaptur with the president’s sinking approval ratings, inflation at every turn, and also highlighted his support for Trump.
In a few Ohio congressional elections, Trump’s influence was prominent.
Republican Rep. Jim Jordan won a ninth term Tuesday. He is a fiery conservative and one of Trump’s closest ally in Congress.
Other incumbents were Mike Turner, Warren Davidson and Mike Turner. Democrats Joyce Beatty, Shontel Brown and Bill Johnson also won.
Although Republicans are almost certain to retain the majority of Ohio’s congressional seat, Democrats hope to capture at least one incumbent GOP member.
They are targeting Steve Chabot, a long-standing Republican Rep. Chabot, who is seeking a 14th term in Congress despite having faced a steady stream legitimate challengers in previous elections.

Chabot is facing off against Greg Landsman, a Cincinnati City Council member. This district was one of 14 U.S. House seat nationwide held by Republicans. However, President Joe Biden would have won the seat under new congressional maps. To offset losses elsewhere in the country, Democrats wanted to win at least a few of the Republican-held seats that Biden voted for.
Max Miller, a former Trump administration official, won a U.S. House Seat in Ohio. This victory was bolstered with the endorsement of the ex-president and the exits from two Republican congressmen.
Miller defeated Matthew Diemer and was a clear favorite following his win in the GOP primary. This victory was set up after U.S. Reps. Bob Gibbs & Anthony Gonzalez abruptly retired.
Madison Gesiotto Gilbert is a conservative commentator who was part of Trump’s 2016 inauguration committee. She also helped lead Women for Trump during his reelection campaign.
They are vying to fill the seat that was left vacant by Democratic U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan’s decision to run for U.S. Senate in this year’s election.
