According to The Associated Press, Harriet Hageman is expected to win Wyoming’s congressional seat.

Hageman was elected the GOP nominee for Wyoming’s only House seat. She defeated incumbent Liz Cheney in a clear primary victory. Cheney fell out of favor among fellow Republicans due to her support for Donald Trump’s second impeachment, and her participation on the House panel investigating Capitol riot of Jan. 6, 2021. Hageman was previously third in the 2018 governor’s primary.

Lynnette Grey Bull, a Democratic nominee and Native American activist, was Hageman’s opponent Tuesday. She lost to Cheney in 2020.

Hageman, 60, is a lawyer. She has a bachelor’s from the University of Wyoming. She also received her law degree at the University of Wyoming College of Law. She was a law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals, 10th Circuit.

Hageman portrayed herself as a staunch Defender of U.S. Constitution. She claimed that the Left had “unleashed an Onslaught against our Constitution” and that she would work every day to stop the liberals’ attempts to destroy our constitutional republic.

Hageman supports abortion and says it “will one day be a grave stain in American history.”

Hageman stated, in a speech September at The Heritage Foundation: “The Biden administrationis a constitutional disaster we have never seen before.” (The Daily Signal, the news outlet of The Heritage Foundation.
