Residents of Uvalde State, where a tragic school taking pictures unfolded nearly six months in the past, have voted in favor of Greg Abbott in Tuesday’s chief of the servants race.
With all precincts credit reporting, Uvalde County says some, 760 residents – 62. 18% – voted regarding Republican incumbent Abbott, in comparison to the 3, 031, or 32. 32% voted Democratic challenger Beto Ol’Rourke.
The state was the site of the Robb Elementary School mass shooting on, may 24, in which an 18-year-old gunman killed 19 youngsters and two teachers.
Per day after the shooting, O’Rourke manufactured headlines when he interrupted a new press conference, telling Abbott and others who were briefing town that they were “doing nothing” to stop future massacres.

The potential fight was immediately criticized by simply officials, with Uvalde Creciente Don McLaughlin calling O’Rourke a “sick son of any b—- that would come to a deal breaker like this to make a political concern. ”
O’Rourke later mentioned in September that he would not regret confronting Abbott on the briefing.
Kim Mata-Rubio, typically the daughter of fourth-grader Lexi Rubio – one of the youthful victims of the massacre ~ condemned Tuesday’s re-election of Abbott.
