On Wednesday, President Biden stated that he still plans on running for re-election 2024 despite polls showing that most Americans don’t want him to.
Biden made it clear when a reporter asked him about the two-thirds who didn’t believe he should run for reelection.
“What is your message to them? How does that impact your final decision on running for re-election?” The reporter was curious.

Biden replied, “It doesn’t”
She asked, “What’s your message for them?”
“Watch me,” Biden said.
These remarks were made a day after Democrats did better than expected in the midterm elections, which many believed would usher in a “red wave” Republican candidate to Congress.
Biden stated earlier in the press conference that he intended to run for a second term regardless of Tuesday’s election results. He stated that the outcome gave some relief that Republicans who supported former President Donald Trump “aren’t taking over the government again.”
“This is ultimately a family choice. He said that he believes everyone wants him to run, but that they would have to discuss it.
Despite a difficult night for the GOP’s, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (a Republican) won re-election with a strong performance. He has been considered a potential nominee for the presidency.
