Former President Trump made a victory lap on social networking to praise Republicans, particularly the more than 200 he supported, for their crucial victories in Tuesday’s midterm elections.
He also commented about Republican Florida Governor. Ron DeSantis could be a rival in the 2024 Republican presidential primaries election and his successful re-election.
“Now that the Election in Florida has ended, and everything went well, should it not be noted that I received 1.1 million more votes in Florida in 2020 than Ron D got this past year, 5.7 million to 4.6million? Just curious? Trump made these comments Wednesday on Truth Social, his preferred social network.
The former president has been quiet about DeSantis and the Florida governor was absent from Trump’s Election Day victory party at Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach.

The Republicans’ cold war has sparked some discussion about the party’s split into multiple factions, including Trump and DeSantis supporters, as well as those who don’t identify with either side.
Trump later admitted that he would vote for DeSantis.
On Wednesday, Trump spoke to Fox News Digital about the “tremendous success” of the Republicans in the midterm elections.
Trump said that he was furious at the fake news narrative and rejected reports that he was unhappy with the performance of his endorsed candidates. “The people I endorsed did very good. I was batting 98.6% during the primaries and 216 to 19. In the general election, that is incredible.
“All these guys are winning are my people,” said the former president, citing key victories for Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and newly elected Ohio Senator JD Vance and Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson.
He also commented on the fact that Republicans came up short in Pennsylvania’s Senate Race.
Trump stated that Oz worked hard but was beaten by forces. “Oz is a great man. He was subject to many immovable forces.”

Just after midnight on Thursday morning Trump reiterated his endorsement record, repeating the line that this election was “a very large victory” for Republicans.
“While yesterday’s election was disappointing in some ways, it was a huge victory from my personal perspective – 219 wins and 16 losses in the General – Who has ever done more than that?”
There are several crucial races that could decide the legislative majority, including three Senate seats still up for grabs: Nevada and Arizona.
Trump endorsed Adam Laxalt in Nevada, where he is trailing Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, a Democrat incumbent, by a narrow margin.

Trump endorsed Blake Masters in Arizona, who is trailing incumbent Sen. Mark Kelly.
Trump endorsed Herschel, who is preparing to run-off against Sen. Raphael Warnock, a Democrat incumbent in Georgia.
Trump is expected to also make an announcement about the 2024 presidential election. However, some of his advisors have advised him to wait until after Walker’s run.
