n’s Lies vs. Trump’s ‘Lies’: What a Difference an Administration Can Make //
The Washington Post kept a running list of Donald Trump’s alleged lies and/or misleading statements during his presidency. Glenn Kessler (Post’s fact-checker) announced that the database was ended after Joe Biden became President.
Kessler stated that “maintaining the Trump Database over four years required approximately 400 additional eight-hour day over four years beyond our regular jobs of three people.”
It looks like there are supply-chain issues at Post.
The Post continues fact-checking Biden, but it has ended the Trump-era practice that ran the tote board. Biden isn’t Trump, and the Post expects Biden will be more truthful.
How does that work out?
Recent Post fact-checker Kessler wrote that President Biden is a self-described “gaffe machine”. However, this is no excuse for a president to make misleading or false statements. Readers requested fact checks on a number of recent Biden statements. However, none of them seemed large enough to warrant a separate fact check.
Really?
Biden’s false claims over decades, such as those he made during the 2020 campaign again, that he was “raised in the black church” are irrelevant. As a teenager, he would gather on Sundays to plan how to “desegregate” restaurants and movie theaters in Wilmington, Delaware.
The New York Times did not find any evidence of Biden’s desegregation activities, and the black church that he supposedly attended had no witnesses to Biden.
Biden has claimed for decades that Andrew Young, a former United Nations ambassador and Georgia congressman was “arrested” in apartheid South Africa as they tried to visit Nelson Mandela. Young claimed it never happened.
Biden falsely claimed on two occasions that the truck driver who struck the Biden family vehicle, killing his first wife, and young daughter, was drunk. The claims were false and caused much dismay for the driver and his family.
Biden claimed that no one had advised him against pulling out of Afghanistan. This claim was refuted by two top generals, who under oath said that they advised Biden against this move.
Biden claimed on at least two occasions that Beau, his son, was killed in Iraq. Biden’s son Beau, a veteran of the military who served in Iraqi, died six years after he returned home from Iraq.
Biden stated in October that the average price of gasoline in America was $3.39. This is a drop from $5 when I took office. AAA claims that the average gas price on the day Biden made his statement was $3.76 – 37 cents higher than Biden claimed.
Biden stated the following day: “Since elections, we have been–we take gas prices down from where were they.” This is a good example of Biden’s expectation that Trump will be more lenient than Biden.
Biden’s recent executive order describing his student debt “forgiveness” program as a “forgiveness” program for student debt, which the Congressional Budget Office estimates will cost $400 Billion, is this true? During an online conversation with NowThis News in late October, Biden stated: “It has been passed. It was passed by a few votes, and is now in effect.
Except Biden, an executive order was signed. It is currently being challenged and blocked by a federal appels court. No Congress, no votes and it is not in effect.
Democrats and the media raised concerns about Trump’s mental abilities after his election. Trump took a cognitive test to determine this. Trump allowed the White House doctor answer questions from reporters for an hour. During that time, Trump received a “perfect” score.
Biden did not appear to have taken the same cognitive test. Despite Biden’s confusion and frequent display of confusion, neither the Democrats or the media are concerned about Trump’s mental acuity.
It is amazing what an administration can do for your organization.
