ert moves ahead as Colorado votes continue being tallied //
Colorado Republican and former Trump ally Rep. Lauren Boebert is now ahead of her Democratic opponent as votes continue to be counted Friday.
Boebert is now ahead in the count in an unexpectedly close race, where the freshman lawmaker is trying to secure a second term.

Boebert was just behind Democratic candidate Adam Frisch as of Thursday morning with just over 60 votes separating her from victory.
The controversial lawmaker has moved ahead in the ballot counting by more than 1,100 votes. This difference represents 0.34% Colorado’s 3 congressional District voters. Only 1% of the votes have been tallied.
Although the leap may be enough for Frisch to keep her off, Boebert’s support seems to have dropped since her 2020 election, when she beat her Democratic opponent by more than 26,500 votes.
The 33-year-old Coloradan was defeated by Scott Tipton, a five term incumbent candidate, in 2020’s GOP primary.

Boebert’s struggle this election cycle to keep her support is indicative of the 2022 midterms when Republicans failed to achieve the expected “red wave”.
Frisch is not giving up and tweeted Thursday to state that “thousands of ballots” have yet to be counted.
He said, “Every vote counts in this incredibly close race. Thousands of votes from Pueblo County and military & overseas voters remain. A considerable number of curable bullets also remain.” “Help us gather resources to see this through!”
Although the GOP hoped to win majority control of both the House and Senate, neither Party has won victory in either Congressional chamber.
Although Republicans are getting closer to the majority in the House of Representatives, 32 House seats remain open as tabulators continue to count the election results across the country.
