ear Secrets? Never Mind // (John Hinderaker).
Remember the panic over the classified documents Donald Trump kept in his basement at Mar-a-Lago. Remember the claim that the fugitive containers contained “nuclear secret” that Trump might sell to foreign enemies? This was one of the dumbest theories I have ever heard, which is quite a statement. Now that the midterms have passed, the Biden administration is sending a different message: Never mind.
The Washington Post is the administration’s scrivener. It quotes “people who are familiar with the matter,” but it turns out that those boxes had no significance.
According to people familiar, federal agents and prosecutors believe that former president Donald Trump’s motivation for allegedly taking and keeping classified files was primarily his ego and a desire not to lose the materials as trophies.
This is what you can imagine! Keep your mementos! That is something I am certain no president before me has done.
These people stated that the review did not find any business benefit from Trump’s access to classified information. They said that FBI interviews with witnesses have not revealed any nefarious attempt by Trump to leverage, sell, or use government secrets. These people stated that the former president was motivated by a basic desire to keep his property, rather than a more sinister motive.
Needless to say, there are no “nuclear secret” lies. The Democrats lie constantly, and when they have accomplished their purpose, they quietly move on without any apology or accountability.
