It was quite the press conference that Gregg Berhalter, the coach of the US Men’s National Soccer Team, and Tyler Adams, the captain, held in Doha today ahead of the team’s meeting with Iran tomorrow. While the Iranian regime is killing innocent people and oppressing citizens, the state-approved reporter from Iran had something he thought was important to say. Although soccer is not my favorite sport, I would like Tyler Adams to be the man. Wow!
Tyler Adams manages this disrespectful tirade by an Iranian journalist very well. Ask anyone who has ever spent time in the region, many middle east countries like Iran have “deeply racist” attitudes and policies.
