CBS: There is no mandate for the GOP to investigate the Biden Admin with Majority

CBS was already in damage control mode, as the red tsunami was just beginning to rise on Election Day. Only a few races were called in the early hours of the night. They claimed that, despite Republicans gaining control of the House they wouldn’t be given an order from Americans to investigate aspects about the Biden administration.

Robert Costa, chief election and campaign reporter, reported that he had just called future Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R. CA) and laid out a plan for fixing America’s problems as well as investigating the administration.

He stated that he was looking into the Biden administration’s COVID, Afghanistan, and Justice Department investigations. He also said that he would like to meet with President Biden to discuss spending cuts in return for a debt extension. He called former President Trump an ally, and said he was very helpful in any GOP gains tonight. He also noted that he has been spending recent days huddling with Newt Gingrich (ex-House Speaker) since 1994 and the Republican wave.

John Dickerson, CBS News Prime Time host, didn’t like this comment. He said that McCarthy would conduct investigations and then meet with Biden. These are two things that are directly in conflict …”

He suggested that Republicans would not have the mandate of the American people to launch investigations, but he didn’t provide any evidence.

I don’t know what exit pools will show, but I am pretty certain they won’t show Americans wanted investigations. This will be one the first challenges. How much does a majority investigate the issues Americans are most concerned about, such as education and prices?

CBS wouldn’t allow a Republican majority to walk and chew gum in the pursuit of solving America’s problems.

Gayle King, CBS Mornings host and Democratic donor, agreed with Dickerson. She said that Americans were ready to move on and tired of the investigations. They are just exhausted.

CBS reports that Democrats can conduct endless investigations of Republicans, because they are “saving democracy”, but Republicans cannot hold a Democratic administration accountable.

The lucrative sponsorships of Salonpas and Procter & Gamble made this double standard possible for congressional investigation. Their contact information can be linked.

ROBERT COOST: Just got off the telephone with Kevin McCarthy, House Republican leader. From Bakersfield, California, he is close to becoming the next Speaker of the House. In a one-on-1 interview, he explained to CBS what that would mean for the nation.

He stated that he was looking into the Biden administration’s COVID, Afghanistan, and Justice Department investigations. He also said he would like to meet with President Biden to discuss spending cuts in return for a debt extension. He called former President Trump an ally, and said he was very helpful in any GOP gains tonight. He also noted that he has been spending recent days huddling with Newt Gingrich (ex-House Speaker) since 1994 and the Republican wave.

NORAH O’DONNELL: Robert Costa, breaking news and an exclusive interview with the man who could become the next Speaker of the House. John Dickerson, our chief political analyst, is coming in. What are you looking for tonight?

JOHN DICKERSON : I’m going to just pick up where Bob was, because you can hear his sentence. McCarthy will conduct investigations, then sit down with Biden. These are two opposites of each other, and that’s part the challenge for a McCarthy speakership, if one exists.

I don’t know what exit pools will show, but I am pretty certain they won’t show Americans wanted investigations. This will be one the first challenges. How much does a majority investigate the issues Americans are most concerned about, such as education and prices?

O’DONNELL: Wow. Tonight is already exciting. Wow! And we’re only just getting started. Gayle King, I’m sure you’ve been talking to voters. People are frustrated.

GAYLE KING: They are very frustrated and, Norah, they are exhausted. I’m happy that “America Decides” is our coverage. Because this is actually happening. America, you are deciding. Even as we speak. They’re ready to move on.

John, I agree with you. People are tired of investigating. They are tired of bickering. They are just exhausted. People said that they still have hope. They still have hope. They believe we can find a way to get there. It is very bumpy right now.
