Don Lemon Launches a New Show by Calling Kari Lake Pelosi Comments: ‘Vile, Vile’

CNN’s new show. New hosts. Same old liberal bias. Tuesday’s episode of CNN This Morning was the first. It replaced New Day. Don Lemon, the new host, was quick to expose their liberal views.

Lemon condemned Kari lake’s comments on the attack on Paul Pelosi in an extended segment, calling them “vile and vile.”

Lake stated at an event that Nancy Pelosi is protected in Washington, DC, but her house does not have as much protection.

Lemon attempted to put lipstick on Fetterman’s embarrassing debate performance later in the first half hour. Lemon said:

“My mother is my only focus group. That’s what I always say. She said that she was expecting worse after having worked with stroke victims. He did not do badly, as the media has claimed. She said that he did fine.

And I must be honest. I had a different reaction than most people. I thought Fetterman was worse than I expected.

That’s all! Lemon and his mother are in agreement! Fetterman did “fine” and exceeded expectations!

Chris Licht, the new CNN Honcho, had set his goal to bring the liberal network closer to the center. Today was a bleak start. The show was not different from its liberal predecessor. What was Licht really expecting from Don Lemon, the liberal and outspoken host of the show?

Lemon aired an interview clip in which Fetterman made several mistakes, despite reading from closed captioning. Lemon deserves credit for pressing Fetterman to answer questions about his health and recovery.

CNN This Morning’s first day, Don Lemon called Kari Lake’s comments about the attack on Paul Pelosi “vile, ugly” on CNN This Morning. This was partly sponsored by Liberty Mutual, Subway and Carvana.

Here’s the transcript.

JOSH CAMPBELL – It is important to note that as this family continues to cope with this traumatic experience there are still people out their with large political followings who have been making light of and making fun of the brutal assault on an 82-year old man.

KAITLIN COLLINS – Josh just pointed out that there are people mocking this despite the seriousness of these charges and all the details we are learning about it.

One of them is Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for governor of Arizona. She last night thought this was a joke.

KARI LAKE: It’s not impossible to protect our children at school. They act as if it is. Nancy Pelosi is protected when she’s in DC. Evidently, her house doesn’t have much protection. [Laughter from crowd and moderator]

DON LEMONN: Vile. Vile.

COLLINS: You can see the moderator laughing, too, and covering his face.

. . .

COLLINS: How do you react to Kari Lake’s treatment of it?

AUDIE CORNISH : I am actually struck by how law enforcement had to emphasize the facts of the case. Because they are aware that they must refute any social media storm.

It really reflects the challenges journalists face. Even if you have the words of a defendant, it is still a challenge. All of this in this post-factual environment, just like in court documents is open to discussion. It is open to discussion, speculation, and, unfortunately for some, amusement.

. . .

LEMON: He said that he doesn’t believe it (his debate performance) has hurt him. And while I don’t know if there is any internal polling that shows this, my polling indicates that the debate has not hurt.

It’s fascinating to see how people respond to this polling. People will often tell people who are polling that they don’t necessarily believe that way. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they will vote that way.

However, I always say that my mother remains my only focus group.

POPPY HARLOW – Yes, and what did she say?

LEMON: She said that she was expecting worse after having worked with stroke victims. I didn’t think he did poorly, as the media has been saying. She said that he did well, but again, Pennsylvanians will decide.

And I must be honest. I didn’t feel the same way as others. Most people thought it was crazy.

Dr. Oz is obviously a smart man who did a great job. But, I thought I was expecting worse from Fetterman.

HARLOW: You were.

LEMON: I was. Because they have experienced these issues, I believe people will be more compassionate than we media might think.
