On Friday, October 28, Kyle Spencer, author and contributor to New York Times & Politico Magazine, was on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to complain about how the Leadership Institute and the conservative movement are training “foot soldiers for right”. She panicked that conservatives are now “in touch with how people communicate” and what is happening politically.
Spencer began by kvetching that young conservatives were focusing on culture war issues. “These guys want nothing to do with what the Democrats are really doing. They don’t want talk about Build Back better, they don’t want talk about Dobbs and they don’t want talk about the environment. They want to remain on this campus because they are dangerous, lazy, and they’re not going anywhere,” Spencer said.
She continued to complain about the priorities of young conservative activists across the country and she cried about how they believe that: “Transgender people want to takeover, you know culture war issues to avoid actual issues which might get folks really thinking about what Dems do for them.”
Willie Geist, co-host, was concerned about the report on the beliefs of some young conservatives. She asked Willie Geist who was behind the organization and their activities. “Where are they looking to find these young children?” Let’s just say, who are they? Who is doing all this training? Geist asked.
“There is an organization called The Leadership Institute. It was founded in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Spencer expressed concern that the Leadership Institute is essentially creating foot soldiers for right.
Spencer blasted Spencer for highlighting the active nature of the Leadership Institute and the crucial role they play in conservatism.
The Leadership Institute raises $25 Million annually to teach kids how activate, how door knock, granular stuff and how to convert people. This is what kids are learning.
Spencer revealed that MSNBC and their leftist acolytes were shocked by Spencer’s disapproval. He said, “We’re living in very strange world now where conservatives seem to be very in touch how people communicate and what’s going on politically.”
Spencer lamented that the Leadership Institute was able to adapt to current political or cultural issues because it “teach kids how run for school board office and discuss all this CTR [sic] stuff”.
She groaned, “It’s invasive and it’s big and it’s very organized.”
Subway made this segment of MSNBC possible by allowing a reporter to whine about conservatives organizing and training leaders. Their information is linked.

KYLE SPENCER: The culture war issues they are trying to focus on are the real issues. These men want to avoid the truth about what the Democrats are doing. They don’t want talk about Build Back better, they don’t want talk about Dobbs and they don’t want talk about the environment. They want to stay there because they think the lefty kids on campus are dangerous and lazy. Biden is constantly falling off his bike. The Democrats are too old. Look at these homeless people. Everything is chaotic and out-of-control. Transgender people want to take control of culture war issues, but they are avoiding real issues that might make people think about what Dems do for them.
WILLIE GEIST : Kyle, you spent a lot time reporting on this. You have been embedded with many of these groups for four years. It is something you really get. Where are they looking for these young children? Let’s just say, who are they? Who is doing all this training?
SPENCER: The training has been ongoing for a long period. The Leadership Institute was founded in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The Leadership Institute basically creates foot soldiers for the right. It is located in a building just outside of Washington, D.C. The Leadership Institute raises $25 Million annually to teach kids how activate, how door knock, granular stuff and how to convert people. This is what kids are learning. As you can see, we live in a strange world where conservatives seem to be the ones who are most in touch with politics and how people communicate. So what did the conservatives do when they saw things happening on school boards immediately? They began teaching children, you know? We will teach children how to run for school board office, and all that CTR [sic] stuff. It is, and it’s invasive, large, and very organized.
