Despite a better than expected night for Democrats on Tuesday night, Joy Reid of MSNBC and her gang were clearly unhappy Thursday night’s editions of The ReidOut. She claimed that the Democrat Party lost some Senate and House seats due to poor black voter turnout.
Reid first turned to Black Lives Matter cofounder Alicia Garza to vent about the Democrat Party’s ongoing problem with black voter participation.
Black people are against voter suppression, which makes it harder and more difficult for us to make our voices heard. We also oppose misinformation and disinformation. We are also against misinformation and disinformation.
She continued to boast about the fact that her organization had “moved $2.5million to black organizations to activate voters the day after midterm elections, moving all of the way to 2024.”
Garza exclaimed, “I’m not doing any rocket science and I certainly can’t fund it on my own.” We need the party that depends on our votes to invest in our communities.
Angela Rye, an ESPN correspondent, shared Reid’s frustrations about the loss of winnable races due to Democrats not turning out black voters. “I look at a Race like Mandela Barnes, but I look at Cheri Beesley, these were narrow losses. These were winnable races. How can we convince the party to do things differently?
Rye criticized the “very white consultant” that told Democrats to run candidates who were “almost a Republican” and “very moderate Democrat”
Rye claims that this will only suppress the black vote, and “ensure that black people don’t turn out.”
“You need dynamic candidates who can speak to our issues. Rye said that younger candidates are needed to speak to our issues.
Rye concluded by stating that while you have narrow loss margins and large ones, you do have large ones. There are many options, but there is still work to be done.

It’s also about investing money and dollars in black communities for voter participation, voter education, voter activation, and black voter organizing. I can tell you that in places like Georgia there was a lot money moving around but not enough money going to organizations like Black Voters Matter. These organizations are what people depend on to activate and energize black voters.
If they don’t have enough resources, we end up asking: Why didn’t black people get out? Joy, here’s the truth. Black people are against voter suppression, which makes it harder and more difficult for us to make our voices heard. We also oppose misinformation and disinformation. We are also against misinformation and disinformation. Joy, my organization and I moved $2.5 million to black organizations to activate voters this week, moving all the the way to 2024. ANGELA RYE, ESPN CORRESPONDENT: Here’s what you need to convince them. I know you are all watching from home and have decided that the very white consultancy you all have had for decades is why we can run almost as a Republican. A moderate Democrat. I’m going tell you now that this is not the solution. This is how you self-suppress.
This is how you make sure black people don’t go out. We need dynamic candidates who can speak to our issues. Younger candidates must be able to relate to our issues. You must ensure that you are employing a new group of consultants that don’t think in the same way as you do. It doesn’t work. We don’t have any other suggestions. You have narrow loss margins and large ones. There are many options, but there is still work to be done.
