On Sunday Today, Hallie Jackson, a senior Washington correspondent, joined Willie Geist as he fearmongered that Republican campaign ads that featured candidates with guns or who shot them, while promising to defend the Second Amendment rights for all Americans could lead to violent attacks against Democrat politicians. There was no mention in the segment of Democrat campaign ads featuring guns.
Jackson didn’t have to go back too far into the past. Last week, Ohio Democrat Senate Candidat Tim Ryan posted a Twitter video of him shooting a gun. Ryan was then blasted by Twitter, not by NBC, nor any other left-wing media outlet but by conservatives, and gun experts for his poor firearm etiquette.

Jackson reviewed a list of Democrats who had been victims of political violence and claimed that the violent incidents were “fueling critics of some GOP campaign ads which are accused of leaning towards violence.”
Then, she aired a montage featuring various Republican campaign ads that featured guns. Ryan and any other Democrat with a gun in a campaign ad were not present.
DOCTOR MEHMET Z: The Second Amendment does not only concern hunting. It’s about our constitutional rights to defend ourselves against intruders and an overly intrusive state.
J.R. MAJEWSKI : I’m willing and able to do everything necessary to bring this country back to its former glory.
MIKE COLLINS – It’s also RINO season in the swamp.
Jackson was warned by Daryl Johnson, an ex-Assistant Department of Homeland Security Analyst, that this was not the end or the peak of this type of heated political rhetoric.
Jackson informed Geist during the handoff that NBC News polling showed that 80 percent of Americans believe the other party is going to destroy America. Our pollsters believe that many people are being motivated to vote this year outraged or out of fear.
She continued to say that Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, disgraced Congressmen, are working to reduce the toxic political rhetoric despite them serving on a sham panel that claims to be investigating what happened on January 6.
“Congressman Adam Kinzinger, who has long been a voice against his party. He’s now launching a new group to counter some of the rhetoric and attitudes we’re witnessing. Jackson emphasized that the same applies to Congresswoman Liz Cheney, who is moving forward with a new anti Trump group.”
She concluded by pointing out that “the question remains, Willie, is that group gonna get any traction?” We don’t know what the future holds.
Geist said, “When you cast politics in apocalyptic terms people act accordingly.”
Citi made it possible to spread this propaganda on NBC. Their information is linked.

DARYL JOHNSON, ANALYST, DEPARTMENT of HOMELAND SECURITY: Unfortunately, this isn’t the end or the height for this type of heated political rhetoric. This is the new norm, and it could even be taken to greater heights.
WILLIE GEIST : Hallie is now with me live. Hallie, good day. As you said, the inciting of division and anger is nothing new. However, social media and prominent leaders like those you just mentioned have brought us closer to political violence. What are the chances of this happening?
JACKSON: I believe very few people are like this. But it is the reality. It is here. Take a look at the mood among the electorate. Our latest polling shows that even right now, Willie, 80 percent of voters believe the other party is going to destroy America. Our pollsters believe that many people are motivated to vote this year by anger or fear. This is the political reality. Some people are trying to change things. Take Congressman Adam Kinzinger, who has long been vocal against his party. He’s now launching a new group to counter some of the rhetoric and attitudes we’re witnessing. The same goes for Congresswoman Liz Cheney, who is moving forward with a new anti Trump group. Willie, the question is: Are these groups going to gain any traction? We don’t know the answer yet.
GEIST: People behave in an apocalyptic way when you talk about politics.
