While the leftist media spent the week cursing Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul for an alleged politically motivated attack, they have remained silent about a shooting at the home of Pat Harrigan, a Republican North Carolina congressional candidate. Although the shooter opened fire through the window of the house where his children were asleep, no one was hurt or killed.
The incident was ignored by ABC’s World News Tonight and CBS Evening News as well as NBC Nightly News. Instead of reporting on the latest violent attack on Republicans, the networks decided that local weather reports and a shortage of cotton allegedly caused by “climate Change” were more important stories than the family of a Republican candidate being shot at.
According to the Carolina Journal (CJ), the shooting occurred at the residence of Pat Harrigan’s parents on October 18th. Harrigan is running to defeat Democrat State Senator Jeff Jackson for the 14th congressional district.
CJ spoke with Brandon Craft, Harrigan’s campaign manager. Craft informed CJ that someone had shot the house and that an investigation is ongoing. Craft claims that Harrigan’s children were at home at the time of the shooting and were just a few feet from the spot where the bullet entered the house.
CJ reports that Harrigan and Jackson have been a heated pair. Harrigan challenged Jackson to a debate in an Open Letter and Jackson questioned Harrigan’s NC-14 residency.
If Harrigan were a Democrat the networks would have reported on it and used it to show how Republican rhetoric is killing “democracy.”
