NewsBusters Podcast – Leftist Twitter Meltdown, Google Suppresses Republican Search Results

Social media networks are hot topics going into the midterms. The takeover by Elon Musk of Twitter is making leftists lose their minds. Tara Setmayer, Lincoln Project adviser, called Musk a “child,” and said that he’s “Immature” and has “daddy problems.” She cannot imagine why any advertiser would leave.

Suzanne Nossel, PEN America’s alleged free-speech advocate, told MSNBC’s Ali Velshi that “falsehoods travel faster that the truth on Twitter, and that polarization can still be stoked, it’s a weaponization human nature.”

A Free Speech America study found that Google’s search algorithm suppresses some top Republican Senate candidates. Ten of the 12 Senate Republican Party candidates’ campaign sites appeared lower (or not at all) in Google’s organic search results than their Senate Democratic Party counterparts’ campaign websites.

Joseph Vazquez, Associate Editor for MRC Business & Free Speech America joins the show to discuss the Big Tech developments. We discuss how George Soros funds a variety of groups that advocate censorship for conservative information on social media. None of them would have been upset if Soros had bought Twitter.
