Remember when we elected political officials based on their abilities and not how progressive they were. No? It’s not me, but it’s getting ridiculous.
Minnesota deserves congratulations for electing transgender Leigh Finke to the legislature and supporting the “rise of Queer Political Power”.
Finke, who was born a she/him but was raised a he/her, was elected to represent Minnesota’s District 66. Finke’s Twitter account indicated that his priorities include ensuring that women and queers (aka fake woman) have bodily autonomy.
I assume he believes that tearing apart an unborn baby’s body, limb after limb, is “healthcare.”
It’s funny that someone who will never need an abortion or be pregnant for that matter is hired to push for abortion “rights.”
The LGBTQ Victory Fund, however, calls itself the “political arms of the LGBTQ community” that helps elect people like them. Its mission is to “recruite, train, and elect out public officials at all levels” in the United States. The group wants to elect LGBTQ people to power, and only because they are LGBTQ.
Fox News reported that the Victory Fund was delighted at Finke’s election victory. Here’s what the president and CEO of the LGBTQ group said:
Tonight, Leigh made history because she is willing to disrupt the status-quo and fight for real change in her community. She has a vision of the future that voters love, from protecting abortion rights to addressing social inequalities. Her victory is a clear and resounding repudiation of the transphobia that has been plaguing our communities. She will be an inspiration to other trans people to run for office.
Supposedly Finke received 15,635 votes, or 81 percent of the vote in the district where he ran. Fox News reported that Alice Hauseman, who had been in office since 1989 was the previous seat warmer.
It must be an honor to lose your seat to someone pretending to be a lady.
Minnesota’s election will inspire many stories. One undisputed story is the rise in Queer Political Power. 11 LGBTQ Candidates for Legislative: 11 wins.
Those 11 victories include many firsts.

All I can do is thank God that I don’t live here. I pray that we begin to elect people based on their skills, not on who they sleep with or what gender they choose to be on any given day.
