Joe Scarborough continued his daily ritual of detesting all and anyone Donald Trump has supported on Wednesday’s Morning Joe — even first-time Republican Senate candidates Trump endorsed.
He called J.D. twice. Vance called J.D. a “weird man” and mocked his voice.
He mocked Dr. Mehmet Oz as a quack: “Not qualified. He’s a TV doctor who sold magic beans.
Scarborough was the most difficult to deal with for the black Republican, Herschel Wade in Georgia.
I see Herschel there and I see it as a tragedy for him and his family. He doesn’t belong here. Donald Trump has pushed him out of his place. He’s not ready to be on primetime. He keeps saying things that are absolutely humiliating . He is not qualified for the job. And, and, he doesn’t, [deep sigh] He doesn’t have the ability to effectively serve as a United States senator.”
Joe was aware he was in dangerous territory when Scarborough stumbled and then sighed before claiming Walker lacked “the capacity” for service. He decided to go there.
A Morning Joe segment about Republicans would not be complete without a reference to fascism. Scarborough pulled out a notion from Hannah Arendt, the historian whose most well-known book was The Origins of Totalitarianism. Scarborough stated that Arendt’s description of the rise to fascism explained that strongmen “replace competence with loyalty.” They’ll get rid the senators, they will get rid the members of congress, and they’ll get rid the bureaucrats who can make the country better. And they’ll replace them by stooges…whom they consider idiots.”
Joe Scarborough, who said that Herschel Walker does not have “the capacity” for a sentor on Morning Joe, was sponsored in part, according to GlaxoSmithKline, Golden Corral, and Xfinity.

Morning Joe

JOE SCARBOROUGH : J.D. Vance is a strange guy. Ohio. He is viewed as a strange guy by Republicans. . . J.D. Vance is a strange guy.
Lil’ Butters would be there wearing his little venture capitalist vest and sit down. Venture capitalism is my favorite — the smartest people in this world.
MIKA BRZEZINSKI – Is that J.D. speaking?
MIKA: J.D. Vance. Yeah. Doesn’t this sound just like him!
MIKA: Yes!
. . .
SCARBOROUGH : Let’s talk about Georgia. Herschel keeps getting more bizarre.
By the way, I’m just a person. Not talking politics. Keep your Twitter machine off the table. I actually see Herschel’s outing as a tragedy for him and his family. He doesn’t belong there. Donald Trump has pushed him out of his place. He’s not ready to be on primetime. He keeps saying things that are absolutely embarrassing.
It is something I find, it is something I do, I find it, I just can’t, and I can’t believe that Georgians would vote for someone who has had as many issues as he has.
MIKA: He is just not up for the job.
SCARBOROUGH – He is not qualified for the job. He is not qualified for the job. And, and, he doesn’t, [deep sigh] He doesn’t have the ability to effectively serve as a United States senator.
. . .
This is a historical pattern. Hannah Arendt is talking about the rise to totalitarianism, and, and, documenting rise to fascism. Willie. What does she think strongmen do? They replace competence with loyalty.
They’ll get rid the senators, the members of Congress, the bureaucrats who can make the country better and are competent, and they will replace them with stooges.
MIKA: This is exactly what’s going on here.
SCARBOROUGH – Who are the idiots? Exactly. You can look at Dr. Oz. Not qualified. He is a TV doctor who sold magic beans.
