Athletes are known for their stupidity. Sometimes, however, they will do something that will make your heart smile.
The Baltimore Ravens were in New Orleans on Sunday to prepare for a Monday night match against the Saints. Lamar Jackson, Ravens quarterback, met with Landon Berry (a young boy who is a Lamar fan and is suffering from a heart condition). Jason, Landon’s father, organized the event. Jason recorded a video of them meeting in a lobby of a hotel. It’s enough to make anyone feel emotional.
“It all began over a year ago when Landon stated, dad, you know my favourite team is the Baltimore Ravens.” Jason, a Saints fan wrote.
In a Facebook post. “And I said, “oh really why?’ He replied: “Because Lamar Jackson is a beast.” All he ever talked about was how much he would love the opportunity to meet him. I began to wonder how I could make this happen.
Landon’s dream didn’t end there. Landon was able to play on the field with Jackson during his warm-up routine at Caesars Superdome prior to Monday Night Football matchup. It was an unforgettable experience.
The Saints were defeated by the Ravens 27-13 to move up to 6-3 and keep their lead in AFC North.
