It’s no secret that ABC’s The View’s ladies find political violence more appealing when it’s Republicans who are the victims and their lives are at risk. On Tuesday’s show, they tried to link Fox News and Republicans to an attack on Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). They claimed “this is on you hands,” falsely suggesting Republicans had not condemned the attack and requesting that people stop talking badly about Democrats to avoid getting hurt.
Whoopi Goldberg started the discussion by blaming Arizona Republican candidate Kari Lake for “crazy remarks” and pointing out that the Pelosi home had poor security. She criticised Lake, saying she should be able to understand “the consequences for lies and stupid rhetoric” because she is from the same state as former Democratic Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.
Giffords was used as a springboard by Sara Haines, who absurdly attempted to blame the attack upon a Republican “fire Pelosi” campaign from more than 10 years ago. She continued to talk incoherently about Republicans talking mental health and blaming the attack for Republican efforts to supposedly “gut healthcare at every corner”.
“There has to be an out of bounds. She demanded that she take her jersey off and condemn it at all costs.
This is a rich result for a show that supports political violence against Republicans. They’ve supported the targeting of conservative Supreme Court justices, which culminated in an attack on Justice Kavanaugh and his families, tried to justify the assassination of Lee Zeldin, a New York Republican gubernatorial candidate, and refused to condemn the left-wing terrorist attacks against pro-life centers.
Despite these facts, Sunny Hostin, a racist co-host, and Joy Behar, co-host Joy Behar joined forces to suggest that there is no political violence from left (Click “expand”)
HOSTIN: The other thing is that a poll by the Washington Post/University of Maryland from January 6th, found that 1 in 3 Americans believed it was possible to justify citizens taking violent action against the government. Only 40% of Republicans believed violent actions could be justified, compared to 23% of Democrats.

HOSTIN: I think it is important to mention the “other sides”, “both sides” thing.
BEHAR: That’s all I want to say. There are no two sides.
HOSTIN: No.
Behar also suggested that there is no crime wave in the U.S. She declared, “So, crime isn’t on the rise it actually going down under Joe Biden.”
Faux conservative and clout groifter, Alyssa farah Griffin perpetuated a BIG LIE that Republicans weren’t condemning the attack. She screamed, “To those in the party who aren’t calling this out directly: shame upon you.” She was aware of the shooting at the Republican congressional ball practice in 2017, but she used it to bludgeon her strawman and praise Democrats for how they spoke nice and supported Rep. Steve Scalise in his recovery.
Farah Griffin, however, refused to list recent instances of liberal political violence or condemn the show’s support for it.
Behar was astonished to discover that the baseball shooting was mentioned. Farah Griffin had no choice but to explain the events. She said that her bosses were targeted, but failed to mention that the attacker was one Behar’s Bernie Sanders supporters.
As they were about to break, Goldberg chose to spout off again, this time blaming Fox News. “Hey Fox News, some of this is on you hands. She declared, without evidence, that some of this was on her hands. She asked them to stop talking about “that side is not good”. Adding: “This it puts out there. It lets people know that it’s okay for them to do this.
She asks people to stop calling Democrats “not good” as it could lead people to get hurt. Yet, The View will continue to call Republicans “fascists”, and a threat to our country. Maybe some lives are more valuable to ABC and The View.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG – What else is needed? People have been making all kinds of crazy comments, I mean. Ronna McDaniel, Chairwoman of the RNC, stated that Joe Biden did not discuss the assassination attempt on Brett Kavanaugh. However, he issued a statement condemning and supporting increased funding. Kari Lake was asked about school security. She said that Nancy Pelosi is protected when she’s in D.C. Evidently, her house doesn’t have much.
JOY BEHAR: She got a lot of laughs from that.
GOLDBERG: Yeah, she did. You would think that a woman representing Arizona as an evening anchor, and Gabby Giffords was attacked by her, would be able to see the consequences of lying about politicians. Which now she is one. You wouldn’t think this was funny. This is happening to everyone.
SARA HAINES After the Gabby Giffords scandal, he declared enough was enough. He is quoted as saying that “anytime there’s any kind of political violence or threat to it, the ultra-partisans switch to the other side mode.” Your side is bad, my side is good.”
This is something I hear a lot from people talking about. It doesn’t matter if you say, “wielding the hammer and attacking another person is wrong on all counts, this seems completely out of bounds.”
This is what’s interesting about this man. He has not yet indicated any criminal history, but he does have mental issues according to his ex-girlfriend and also has addiction problems. The right is all about mental illness when it comes to guns. We don’t need to talk about guns, we can talk about mental well-being. We won’t talk about the fact that this person committed this crime because of their mental health. We will eliminate all health care.
There must be an out of bounds. This means: Take your jersey off and condemn it at all costs.

BEHAR: It’s a common phrase that a lot of people like to use, even Ted Cruz when he was there. And I want to remind everyone that it was not the Democrats that stormed the government and tried to kill Vice President Trump that day. Okay?
The Republicans are now preparing for the next election, which will be next week. They talk only about crime, crime and more crime. It turns out that murders in major cities have dropped by four percent in 2022, compared to the same period last year. Joe Biden is actually reducing crime.
ALYSSA FARAH GRAFIN: What is on the rise is politically violent. I will be clear: political violence, left, right, and center, is wrong. Shame on those in my party who don’t call this out. This is a man who is 82 years old. He was charged with elder abuse.
I was working fast for Freedom Caucus at the time that the 2017 congressional baseball shooting occurred.
BEHAR: What’s that?
FARAH GRAFIN: My bosses were actually targeted. I was at the time:
HOSTIN: Ted Cruz was a member of the freedom caucus
FARAH GRAFFIN: No. It’s only House members. Steve Scalise almost died in that shooting. It is a difference that every Democrat condemned it. They rooted for his recovery. We should be ashamed of what is happening. We can’t clearly call out wrongdoing. This is the worst. I fear it will get worse before it gets better. I pray that this is not the case. But, I don’t mean that we are not thinking of Pelosi.
