The View Cries Tremendous Voter Supression’ but ‘Huge Turnout’

It’s evident that the dust has yet to settle from an Election Day with record turnout across the nation, and that Republican victories were minimal. Many Trump-backed candidates failed spectacularly. The View cast was just as miserable as ever. They falsely claimed that there was still “tremendous voter suppression” despite admitting that there was a “huge turnout” as well as boasting about how voters were “helicopter-swinging in”.

After playing a variety of Republican and Democratic victory speeches, Whoopi Goldberg, the co-host, framed it as a good morning voter. “This is up to the people. The decisions were made by the people of the United States. She said that they chose who they wanted to be at the top.

Without supporting evidence, she claimed that these people overcame attempts to “repress” the vote and praised how “people came out of under buildings.” They arrived in helicopters. They landed. They made their decision. They voted in large numbers.”

Sunny Hostin, a racist co-host, “loved” the high levels voter turnout, but claimed they did so in the face “tremendous voter suppression” that’s ongoing across the country.

She then told a story about how her Texas friend took an hour to fill out her Texas ballot. (Not standing in line for an entire hour, but filling it out took an hour).

I have a friend. This is anecdotal. She lives in Texas. She is a New York Democrat. She lives in Texas. She couldn’t vote Democratic. She had to search for 97 Democrats, print them on two sheets, and then put them in the machine.

She added, “But it was so crazy that not only did she wait on line, but it also took her an entire hour to complete the forms.”

It’s “tremendous voter suppression” because her friend doesn’t know the correct way to fill out a box. She needed to print directions just like she was on Map Quest in early 2000s.

However, not everyone was in such good spirits. Joy Behar was cautiously optimistic after the “red wave” failed, but she added that “with today’s heinous Republican Party, we should have had an incredibly powerful blue tsunami.”

She claimed that Democrats were suffering from a messaging issue and needed a new version James Carville, a former consultant. It’s the democracy, stupid! It’s abortion rights, stupid! It’s voting rights, stupid! Sell it! She shouted, “Go out and sell it!”

This fake news about voter suppression was possible thanks to lucrative sponsorships from Liberty Mutual and Purina. Their contact information can be found linked.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG (English): This really comes down to people. This is all about the people. The American people made their decisions. They chose who they wanted to be at the helm. You can try to suppress the vote, but people escaped from under buildings. They arrived by helicopters. They landed. They made their decision. They voted in large numbers.

[Applause]

Never, ever, ever give up on the American people in voting. It might not always go your ways, but we will do what we are supposed to do.

SUNNY HOSTIN : I loved that because it was amidst massive voter suppression –

GOLDBERG: Yeah!

HOSTIN: This is happening all across the country.

I have a friend. This is anecdotal. She lives in Texas. She is a New York Democrat. She lives in Texas. She couldn’t vote Democratic. She had to search for 97 Democrats, print them on two sheets, and then put them in the machine.

GOLDBERG: But she did it!

HOSTIN: It took her an hour.

GOLDBERG – But she did it, wasn’t she?

HOSTIN: Oh, she did!

GOLDBERG: That’s right! That’s right!

HOSTIN: It was so insane that she waited online for over an hour to complete the forms.

GOLDBERG: But she did it.

HOSTIN: She did it. That’s Texas.

JOY BEHAR : I feel good about it. I’m talking about being cautiously optimistic, as I believe we did very well considering the red wave predictions. What was it? What was it?

SARA HAINES: Tsunami.

BEHAR: The red tsunami.

But the Democrats should take this as a lesson. With the current dire state of the Republican Party, we should have a blue tsunami. It should have been called a blue tsunami. It’s the messenger, I believe. On the Democratic side, there is no good messaging.

Remember James Carville’s famous quote, “It is the economy, stupid?”? Well, you need someone like that. It’s the democracy, stupid. It’s abortion rights, stupid. It’s voting rights, stupid. Sell it! Go out and sell it!
